The app is fine--but the service is great!

This does three things better than if it didn't exist: Hail, Dispatch, and Pay. Those are the essential problems, and this solves it. And the drivers who use it seem nicer than others--but that may be pressure from the ride "sharing" companies.

I have used Flywheel a number of times. The app is easy to use. I rarely have to wait more than two minutes. Scheduling ahead (to go to the airport for example) is also very easy, and I've tried it at all hours. Personally, I've had nice drivers too.

I used a $20 promo code and got a confirmation e-mail that it would be applied to my first ride. It was not. Customer service has completely ignored all attempts to contact them and fix their mistake. The other reviews are right: this app and company are awful.

You can hail taxis and walk out without swiping a credit card! I get a cab in a few minutes and the drivers know their way around the city. And best of all - no surge pricing!!!! Now can also use Apple Pay, and can hail a taxi on the street and pay using the app! And guaranteed tips are in dollars.

I've used this app/service on and off for the past year, mostly when ride share services are charging ridiculous surge prices. The app does its job- cab drivers find me and take me where I need to go. I haven't had any issues with reliability or responsiveness. Can't really ask for anything more!

Basically this: non-existent customer service and I was essentially told none of my credit cards worked. If I'm supplying sensitive information you'd better have some sort of customer service/quality check, There are many choices when picking a service like this—be careful.

Good, but needs some big improvements

I support the cab industry in SF, so perhaps I have been pretty forgiving with this app in the past (because I really want it to succeed!). My biggest issue is with the GPS system. Either something isn't working right, or the refresh rate is way too infrequent, because every time I use this app the location of my cab driver is always delayed. Map will show driver 10 blocks away (not moving on map), then all of a sudden he's right in front of my house. On the side of suggested improvements, I'd really like to be able to pay my driver in cash... Sometimes I have excess cash and would rather spend that instead of debit or credit.
