Was looking forward to the pencil case...
Foodluver177

I enjoy the app a lot. I use it on my iPad to draw and write. I was really looking forward to using the pencil case but it’s not working on my phone. I’m guessing it’s because I have a iPhone 8?

Worst drawing app
DeutschPuzzler

First off, this app only works if you have an Apple Pencil- anything else (stylus, finger, whatever), you can just forget about getting the app to work. Second, while this app claims to have free features, the only thing that’s actually free is to look at what’s available once you pay for a subscription. Honestly, there are plenty of apps out there that work far better, and are actually free to use. If you want a Moleskine notebook that badly, you’re better off just going online or to your local store and buying a real one.

What’s happening?

I’ve had this app for a while and I liked it quite a bit, the interface, the simplicity and the ability to group in sketchbooks. It had some issues here and there especially syncing between the iPhone app and the iPad one, but that was ok overall and anyway I mostly use my iPad to draw so I got rid of the iPhone app. Then update came and I was very excited especially the pencil case option. But again that fell short and turned out to be very clunky and I thought that I can do without it. Syncing was still a problem also. But more importantly, I can’t open my old sketchbooks anymore and every time I open one the drawing don’t download and I keep seeing the little swirling ink blot. As such I lost a few drawings because they don’t load anymore. Furthermore, since the latest updates, the scrubber does not show all the drawings. So bottom line with every update the problems with this app seem to build up and at this point I don’t trust it anymore to use it as often. I gave it 3 stars because I still think that it’s got the potential of being a great app and it still can be fixed. Addendum: a few months ago, I wrote the above review and rated the app 3 stars. Since then it only got worse. Now I can’t even open my more recent folders. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, logged out and then logged in again, to no avail. My older folders? Forget about it! If I try to download them from the cloud I get a message that I’m not connected to the internet although I am and everything else in the app requiring internet is working. So again, with a new update and a new tool (the ruler), the app got even worse and is really not useable for me at this point. The developer has not been very responsive either. I really want to use this app and I do have a lot of applications for it but as it is now I’m afraid that I will lose all my work and it is extremely frustrating every time you want to open a sketchbook. I’m unsubscribing.

Not to be rude or anything but...

Why make they app free if u still have to pay to use it??? Honestly, I would’ve gave it a 5 stars if I didn’t have to pay. I wanted to try the colors so bad but I guess not.? Edit - ok I understand ?

Sad

I am so disappointed with this app. I was so excited to use it, but I can only use it if I pay for the subscription. The entire app is off limits for me. You should include at least some accessibility for people who don’t want to pay money. ?

Won’t open

Don’t know if this is just a me thing, but I like my apps to stay open for more than two seconds

Great for Remote Teaching
tcoake

I have hastily tried around 20 different apps in search of a suitable application to perform remote teaching once Covid had forced me out of the classroom. I’m a math professor and needed an application that allowed an unlimited page length. I attempted to get by with others that had other helpful drawing tools, but having to open a new page every couple minutes ultimately made those apps a deal breaker. Now, apples notes was working well, but the inability to save in a format other than its own proprietary file system left me in search of a solution. At this point I discovered Flow which had almost everything that I needed. There is always room for improvement, but the developers seem to be on top of all that while making continual updates as well as creating new features (rulers as of late). I would like to see the ability to draw a strait line without having to open the ruler for that, but this is something users can ask for and the developers appear to listen. That one aspect alone is a huge game changer for me. I’m just not used to using software where the devs listen to the customer/users. All in all, flow and it’s other apps have proved to be absolutely essential for teaching remotely. I could go on and on about how I use the features to create a learning environment that makes the remote learning process much less painless for both me and my students, but I’d suggest give it a try.

Not worth it

Membership? Just to draw something

No warning
blakerz22

Didn’t get a warning I had to pay to drawl before I bought it

Did not work

Every time I touched anything on the page it sent me to a membership page where I would need to pay for the app. The app to download is free but to use it you need to pay an annual membership fee.
