Misleading, not “free”

Really annoying that this is marketed as a free app when you can’t use any part of it until you purchase a subscription.

No demo

Superdaleman

Wanted to check this out, but there’s no demo and as soon as you try anything the subscription banner pops up. I’m not purchasing anything without a test drive of the app.

Don’t offer a free app without any free usage.

LivLegend

There isn’t even the possibility to test it with small free functions before signing up for a subscription. Yeah you could get the free trial, but that gives the app permission to charge your account if you don’t like it and forget to cancel it. I’m tired of downloading and deleting apps that don’t make it clear before you download that it is paid only, it’s a scam and a trick just to get stats for user downloads.

NOT FREE!!!!!!

i like lesbians

i was super exited about this. then it wouldn’t let me start to use it ?

Plz stop

Fujoshi_Lover

It keeps making me want to buy multiple subscriptions and won’t let me draw I don’t want to pay for the others I just want to use this app without having to pay for a lifetime memebership

Beautifully designed, but....

It’s so beautifully designed but almost two many tricks. Makes it a bit challenging to get anything done because your always learning how to use another option.

Help?

Alright so, I think the app is pretty nice, I haven’t been able to make it work though. Every time I try to draw, it gives me a page of something like, “Would you like to go membership”. And so, I can’t draw, is there a way to fix? I don’t know where else to go for this question, sorry.

Free

What’s happening?

I’ve had this app for a while and I liked it quite a bit, the interface, the simplicity and the ability to group in sketchbooks. It had some issues here and there especially syncing between the iPhone app and the iPad one, but that was ok overall and anyway I mostly use my iPad to draw so I got rid of the iPhone app. Then update came and I was very excited especially the pencil case option. But again that fell short and turned out to be very clunky and I thought that I can do without it. Syncing was still a problem also. But more importantly, I can’t open my old sketchbooks anymore and every time I open one the drawing don’t download and I keep seeing the little swirling ink blot. As such I lost a few drawings because they don’t load anymore. Furthermore, since the latest updates, the scrubber does not show all the drawings. So bottom line with every update the problems with this app seem to build up and at this point I don’t trust it anymore to use it as often. I gave it 3 stars because I still think that it’s got the potential of being a great app and it still can be fixed.

Too many glitches for a paid app

I have used Flow for a year before writing this review. At first, I loved it. I loved the color palette, the variety of tools, and yet a very simple layout. With Flow you could easily start drawing without being overwhelmed with side toolbars. Even kids could use it! But... it turned out it has a big problem, and that is a LOSS OF DATA. Sometimes, when I try opening larger sketches that were dormant for a few months, they start loading and never open. The drawing preview still shows an image, but when you open it, it’s just blank. And there’s no explanation why this happens or how to prevent it. Only last night, I was doing a friend’s portrait, I cut a larger segment to move it with a scalpel tool, and it just disappeared into thin air. I kept on pressing undo, and redo, but nothing helped! The only way I can be sure about my drawings is to export them as image as soon as possible. Other things that annoy me: 1. No color picker to this date, which is quite a basic tool (good luck finding an exact shade you already used if you change the palette in the meantime) 2. Palette remains the same across different drawings, which gets quite cumbersome, and it would be better if each drawing had its own palette. Still, it is what I use for graphic facilitation as it is a simple tool and I have not found a better to this date. Also, the customer support is nice, and I found quite a few useful tips with them (such as how to stitch multiple images into a single drawing). All in all, 2/5 as data loss is a really serious issue.
