It’s not actually free

Easpits

The app is not actually free it’s just free to download not free to use, don’t get this unless you want to pay.

Why do you need my content?

jtexaco

Why does the app need to collect user content?

Not enough functionality

derferter

Needs more feature for it to be gufguffutoo much money for a single app

Ink is no longer smooth-looking

Allston-Tollcross

It seems that since sometime recently, the ink drawn with a pen (as in, handwriting) looks squiggly on the screen when finished, rather than having smooth lines. I can't figure out if this resulted from a recent update or if it's because I've had to run on a slower network than usual. But why should the network connection matter?

Perfect for designers

uxrobinson

I’m a designer and absolutely love the Moleskine apps. Yes, there are a few quirks, but I’m finding the Studio subscription really worth it. I use an Apple Pencil with flow for most of my concept development work. The developer could improve the sign up process, and to dos can be a little confusion, but super keen to see this app and the studio subscription offer continue to be supported.

Be Prepared to Buy It...

The App Review-ist

This app looks cool, it looks like it would be fun to use, helpful for sketching and drawing things, BUT, I wouldn’t know how fun or useful it ACTUALLY is, because in order to use the app you have to sign up for a subscription.. Of course, you can download the app, it takes you through a written tutorial explaining what the app is blah blah blah... but what it doesn’t tell you is that you can’t test out the app at all unless you sign up for a subscription. Granted, they give you a free trial, yes, but how do I know I want to do that if I can’t even use one pencil? Anyway, I’m not sure what to rate the app because I can’t do anything with it unless I get a subscription. I just wanted to let anyone who wants to download the app and test it before buying it that you’re going to have to get a subscription in order to try it out. I will say that the free trial is a major plus, but why not allow very limited features of the app before making someone jump into a subscription? Just a heads up to anyone interested!

Pay to use

LittleGirl741

Why don’t you just actually make the app advertised “pay to use” instead of marketing it as free on the App Store? I literally wasted time trying each brush, hoping that one of them would not trigger a “DO YOU WANT TO BUY MEMBERSHIP” card on my screen. Like.. is it that hard????

Trap

Xlexb

The trap is to draw your attention to a paid app.

Rip Off - Be Wary

Another MusicMan

Purchased bundle in 2019, App Store shows bundle as purchased, tried logging in to each via restore and it goes through the 30 second process of set up/restore then it tells me to purchase subscription.

It’s pure magic... but needs some tweaking

super.oraco

Flow by Moleskine Studio is pure magic. It’s where I turn when documenting thoughts, developing projects, or having fun with drawing and calligraphy. The overall experience is unmatched, from the innovative tools and how you can customize them, to the gesture support and sound design. It all leaves you feeling in awe of how simple, how elegant it truly is. That said though, when you start working with tons and tons of layers, the app can tend to become unstable and crash. It’s definitely something that needs to be improved upon. There’s also strange bugs I’ve encountered with the razor tool redoing previous changes to objects when moving them about. Overall though, you seriously just need to give this app a try. You’ll never go back, even with its flaws in its current state.
