I launched the app and instantly a page to buy the subscription and i was like ok whatever and then i tried to draw and it wouldn’t let me cause it popped up with same thing over and over i couldn’t even do anything and i dont need the subscription so this is pretty annoying

This app looks great! However I didn’t expect to pay, it is a free app, but every time you press the screena window pops up to subscribe.. waste of my time honestly :/

Edit: I have changed my mind. I am currently trying out the free trial and it is the first drawing app that lets you draw black lines and color underneath them. I love this app. ~Original Review~ Don’t install if you expect to do anything. It won’t let you use it at all without a subscription. You could make the app a flat fee instead and charge a subscription for more in depth features and it would have prevented this. Freemium is the worst.

The UI is sleek and overall intuitive, however I’ve been experiencing bugs with the pen tools switching to random colors (instead of the one I selected). The snip tool is extremely buggy, thank god for undo right? Wrong. It completely and irreparably mangled my drawing. Hours of work wasted, and I’m supposed to pay for this? No thanks

A friend of mine has been using this app for years and loved it, so I was excited to purchase it as soon as I got my new iPad. Unfortunately, he is on an older iPad and must be using a different version because once I purchased the membership (which is like a bait-and-switch for an app advertised as free), I have noticed a terrible lag. When I open the app it takes about 90 seconds to load the document, which remains blank because every time I try to use a pen, there is a ten second lag between my brush stroke and it showing up on the screen. This makes any kind of use impossible. What a waste of money and time.

I have been using flow for 1 year now and mostly loved it — until I discovered recently that some of my old documents were vanishing. The thumbnails were appearing, but once i opened them, the documents were *completely blank* — then the preview disappears, too. so, I’m now constantly afraid to open old documents. I did not pay for a magical vanishing notebook. this bug makes it difficult to trust that ideas, journal entries, and sketches I cherish (whose value only increases with time) will not disappear in the future. this bug makes me want to return to pen and paper. dear developers, please fix this major dealbreaker for an otherwise great app.

Why make they app free if u still have to pay to use it??? Honestly, I would’ve gave it a 5 stars if I didn’t have to pay. I wanted to try the colors so bad but I guess not.?
