I get that the app needs to be able to update, and improve and such. But I don’t understand why you need t pay to use anything. There are plenty of good apps who simply have “add-free” options, or who offer a “premium” subscription. They are very successful, and I think that this app would be much more successful if you had some “non-paying” options. It seems like an AWESOME concept, and I would like to get this app. Unfortunately I cannot because I don’t want to spend money on apps. Maybe after using it for a while I would, but a 7 day trial is not enough time to decide wether or not this is a waste of money.

Why put an app free to download if it’s not free to use? Why would you put a paywall in something that costs nothing to download? Do you guys see nothing wrong with that?

I don’t think it’s fair to make them pay to draw. Although I like the idea

When you download, you need a free trial or to get a subscription. False, misleading, scammy advertising.

I originally downloaded this app because there was no “in app purchase.” Apparently when I originally installed it they had managed to get around apple’s “free,” wall. I didn’t know how they got around that, but I felt it was absolutely the worst way to engender trust or and sense of safety with their company. If they could (and would) get around Apple’s rules, it’d be easy to get around privacy rules, contract rules, and anything else that might be a rule, a law, or a boundary. I was so turned off I’ve deleted the app. Learning the Sam subscription option, and only a subscription option exists, I again immediately deleted the app. My work, data, or art are not the ransom leverage it feels like corporations are using them as (incuding Apple). Moleskine has proven, once again, they are (still) motivated by greed. Have any of you priced their journals and notebooks? Outrageous! This is no different. Hopefully we see a new era dawning where greed is treated like the illness, like the unhealthy and damaging disorder it is.

You can't use this app unless you want to pay. So if you are looking for a free app for drawing or taking notes, this app is not for you.

Garbage. They won’t let you even try pen on paper until you agree to their 1 week trial that then turns into $19/month for something you haven’t even tried a stylus for yet.
