Embarrassing
J from Baltimore

After many configurations, was finally able to read my E8 via wifi by using router with SSID broadcasting turned on. With SSID invisible, camera just locked up on password entry and had to pull battery. Absolutely would not connect via ad-hoc wifi between camera and phone. Once connected, I could only transfer photos. No video recording. No auto-erase. The images are still on my camera and only bulk-erasable via micro USB (which may corrupt the memory, not sure). What a pain for this much money.

Need Help
hemi098

This APP crashes every time I try to make a report. I have tried it on my phone and I Pad. Some one please help. The reporting app is the reason I went with FLIR.

Not good enough
Sebas.jara

App always crashing, takes long time to detect the devices and whenever it does and I try to connect to it. It crashes again. One time that I tried importing the pictures it would say that no files were found! ?

Junk
DaCrMa

Junk. I spent 45 minutes today just trying to get the app to link with my phone. Yes my blue tooth was on. Yes my FLIR E6 was listed as my iPhone’s WiFi. Yes the app has all permissions checked (I’ve been doing this for a few years now). Only explanation is the new app is junk. Shocking.

New Version Layout Functions Gone
Tsaileefo

Did you remove the layout functions for report feature? Before I was able to choose a layout and now that feature appears to have been deleted. The goal of our employees is to submit paperwork with the same formatting layout for consistency.

This new app is a downgrade
Helado de hombre

I upgraded this FLIR app thinking it was the lastest and the greatest. I was wrong. Whatever happened to the different layouts for the reports? This updated version needs to revert back to the 1.8.16!

May 2021 update issues
DeadBen

Update: The app has been updated and resolved the issue with saving the IR scale in the overlay. For that, I have increased the rating from 1 to 3 stars. To get back to 5 stars, I would like to see the return of all the report options from the previous version of the app, as well as the inclusion of all the photo / camera data that used to be provided as well. I like the FLIR Tools app. It’s worked well for me. And I hope to again have a 5-star experience. However I do not like that this update was pushed before truly ready and it has made the app useless to me in its current state. Yes, I can still connect to my E8 and transfer images over WiFi. But, it now shows much less data about the image. And the feature that I really used was to adjust the temperature range of the image in the app rather than setting a manual range in the camera. However, now when I change the range for the photo in the app, it shows the same temp as both the low and high values upon saving...and that cannot be put into a report. Thus...I can no longer use this app until fixed...and meaning I must make all those changes on PC instead of quickly in phone.

Worst Update ever

The crosses are so small now that you cannot read the number, also temperature scale on the side is not accurate. Come on FLIR I expected better not worse, I do thermography for a living 45 weeks a year 5 days a week. Now you are forcing me to use my laptop. Fix the app…. I’ll send you examples if you would like. Clint

OK, Needs some issues looked over...

The FLIR tools app is a great app for making many points on a photo that you have taken however when you process a report even though you have set in the main settings that all temperatures are to read in Fahrenheit, on the report they always show in Celsius in the printed listing; however show correctly in Fahrenheit in the photo's Spot 1, Spot 2, etc legend itself so it's confusing when turning the report into people. and I don't know where or how you're able to even use the tools app to view live video from your FLIRone because all it says in the settings menu is FLIR One:Live but you can't click on it, see anything, nothing. all you can do is take photos with the FLIR one app and then add them and process them in the FLIR tools app I thought that the FLIR tools app was able to take a video and or pictures plus do the editing and Spot adding etc....correct me if I'm wrong. Love the camera though it comes in handy more than I couldve ever imagined!

What happened to the menu option to edit emissivity?
GlennJohnsontt

Older versions of Flir tools let me edit the emissivity but the option has gone. This tool is useless without that menu option.
