Why do I have to GIVE my email address to use a GRAPHIC software?!

Before 10/28/16, you do NOT have to register and give your email address to use the app. Now, you CANNOT use the app WITHOUT giving your email address to them. This is a graphic tool, it does NOT need an email address. An email address is a Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and if FLIR got hacked, your email address is ripe for use by the bad guys. Hence, WHY do I have to GIVE FLIR my email address just to use a graphic software?!

Dear Flir, While I do like some of your tools - I do not like your new business practice that require me to login and provide my email to you to use this software. So I have deleted the software from my iTunes account and will look elsewhere for Image tools and hardware unless you revert. I guess next you will ask for Facebook login and permission to post? And without it you can't use your software? Please you are dealing mostly with engineers and we value our privacy and mostly do not use social media and do not want your emails clutting our inboxes.

Having to now enter an email address to use an app that has no technical reason whatsoever to need an email is unacceptable. Claiming it is to be notified of updates is ridiculous because iOS and the App Store already does that-- that's how I ended up with the hobbled version of this previously good tool in the first place. It's either to send me unwanted marketing emails or add irrelevant 'social' features that I don't think engineers want in the first place. I will be searching for alternatives to Flir products if this becomes the norm.

Do not want or need to login to use this app, now it's a forced requirement. It's a lame attempt at lock-in and data harvesting (WHY?) because of your unethical monopoly. Fire the manager who thought this was a good idea, and if you are a flir engineer, how about some innovation and new features instead of terrible dark patterns?

It always amazes me how people take advantage of an opportunity to state their opinion on something completely unrelated to what they are reviewing. This is a review of the app not Flir's email policy of using the free app. If you want something for free then don't complain if you have to put your email in and register it to use it. The app has pretty much all of the functionality as the desktop app. It allows you to do a complete report out in the field without having to go back to the office. It gives me the ability to email a customer a PDF file while I am still on the job and get paid for that job. This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for making this available for free.
Returning this awesome Flir One and purchasing a different brand.

I downloaded Flir tools to use with my Flir One and before I got a chance to try it out, I was required to give them my email address! That's too bad because Flir One is awesome! I'm now returning my Flir One and going with another brand tool from a manufacturer that respects my privacy.
App is good, but prefer the PC version.

You see the refresh, which stops after a few minutes, but this app doesn't freeze on the refresh.

I noticed that the app FLIR Tools for iOS is capable of displaying a temperature scale bar and to measure the temperature on any saved image. The Mac OS equivalent App is quite capable too but suffers that it is not easy to import photos from FLIR One. See comments on the Mac App store.
