Decent app but has quirks

M Clemetsen

Great app to use when out in the field and need to show a client anomalies on scanned equipment. The individual editing tools such as adding spots, delta-t's, boxes, gradients, etc. all work well. The reason for only assigning 3 stars is that the imported images are not sorted in any order and, only rarely are the visible images paired in a 'group' with the associated thermoscan. This makes it extremely difficult to track your progress through a route in the field after scanning, say, 8 ball mill pinions. With the images in random order, there is no way to quickly associate an image with a particular piece of equipment. Not a problem when you get back to the office and pull the images into the Windows-based reporting tool.

Does Not WORK!!

It comes on start screen then disappears!!!!

Don’t know what to say

T Chilton

I had some problems after an update with 2 apple devices but now I just realized my Flir MR 77 no longer connects to the mobile app. I had previously linked my MR 77 and used it often but now it will not connect at all. Not sure.

Great start, but very buggy/crashing

Tweekme

This is a great start! Lots of great features. Can't wait for FLIR to fix the crashing! After taking stills or video from the iPad, it times out with "Camera is not sending any video" dialog box. Then app crashes back to the home screen. Please fix FLIR!

Video

I agree that this is a great start. After taking a video the "notes" function does not work. Videos are what we do all day and it would be nice to be able to write notes associated with each video to make our reporting easier.

Stupid

I hate this app is sucked you can't do anything I can't go to my pics don't get it it's a waste of time ??????

Could support more cameras

hall757

I have a FLIR i7. This camera is not listed anywhere as a compatible device. It works, but not in any direct fashion. I take the images from the SD card and move them to Dropbox via my PC. Then I can then import the images with this app. If the i7 firmware were to store its images in a DCIM directory instead of an Images directory, and If this app could import from the camera roll, we would have a pretty convenient way to get IR images from the i7 into this app with no other hardware than the iPad camera connection kit. I am not looking for all the features this app gives you with the high end supported cameras. I just want an easier import process. Provide limited SD card support for the low end cameras and you will get a five star rating from me.

Very buggy

Bought E40 camera just for this app. I expect much more from professional software for a $4000 tool.

Good but making me crazy

Tomboyermd

I got the camera because this app would make the camera work seamlessly with our iPads. But a couple fundamental flaws have made that crazy. We downloaded our images but when we import to photos they get lost in there. Rather than go into last import or the end of camera roll they seem to be everywhere and I can't find them. So instead we thought it would be easier to take the card out and import using the camera connector. But the files have seven digits and the iPad only can see files with 8 digits in the DCIM folder. Since they are not saved that way we have to put the card in the pc and add one digit and then move them to the DCIM directory. Then we put the card in the computer and can import successfully. What I wish was that we could wirelessly download the pictures to the app and then move directly into an ALBUM in photos. THAT WOULD WORK! I like the app though. It just needs some improvement.

Really handy but would like a few more options

RobertInLA

We use our camera for basic education and outreach and often simply want to pull a clean image from the data. It would be great to have an export option that drops all labels and scales. But it's nice to have something much simpler to use that doesn't require Windows.
