The concept is good but too glitchy

After IG changed from chronological to algorithmic and started "shadow banning" my posts my engagement significantly dropped so I was really excited when I heard about Ello. The concept is really great but it's way too glitchy and not very user friendly. When I try to search for a user who I want to follow and already know the username of they don't show up. There are some good things. You can post a photo(s) of a product and directly insert a link in your post and there is a little dollar sign at the top right corner that indicates it's a product. This app could be REALLY great for small businesses who don't want to pay to promote on Instagram but it needs some major and minor changes. I have heard the android version is even more glitchy than the iOS version. Make it more intuitive and smoosh the bugs and I think it could be a real winner!

I just started using this app last week, and so far I really enjoy it! I love the fact that it's in chronological order, you can follow who you want, there are no ads, I can easily comment or repost to share something I like to my page. The minimalist design makes people's photos the focal point, and even if you don't wish to share a photo you can write a little blurb or blog to say hey or your thoughts. I do wish it was a little easier to edit posts/delete posts, it was hard to find the tiny x initially. I know as it grows the team behind it will keep improving it! I hope more people join this website, it's a lot of fun and I think it could really be the next social media app - not just for artists but for everyone!

Writing your Bio is a little annoying (but I had someone say they didn't have an issue). It's beta but I'm sure it will get better!

I can't say enough awesome things about this app! And cant wait until it grows even bigger! Their user support is AMAZING and are will to help out in anyway to better your user experience! I highly recommend you download this app and play with it for a few weeks to see for yourself!
