I really love this app and website, sadly it’s pretty underrated. Not many people use or even know about it, even though it definitely deserves some recognition. It’s the epitome of *actual* blogging.

After 30 scrolling through it gets glitchy and I noticed my phone starting overheating. No thank you.

That’s it, that’s the review. I put in an email, username and password, and the button never lets me continue.

Can’t make posts, can’t delete posts. 4k followers for nothing. FIGURE IT OUT.

Ello is a decent app. The problem with it is, is the creators don’t seem to promote it enough. It could be a really useful social tool and go up against big apps like Instagram. But there aren’t enough users. I’ve came across Ello a few years ago just by browsing the App Store. If they advertised the app more, it could become a big hit for artists and photographers. There just isn’t too many local users in my area using this. Ello needs a commercial or better marketing. Hoping to see it become more successful this year. ??

You need to fix your email. I don’t want to be subscribed. You’re also terrible at keeping accounts free from hacking because when I delete the app, it says I’m following people when I never followed anyone.

I can't view any of my posts in the app. It doesn't display my profile picture or banner. I contacted support. I told them that the problem is with the app. They keep telling me to use a different browser. I keep telling them it's the app. They respond that I should use a different browser

I spent an hour trying to update my bio, but couldn’t. There’s no save button and it doesn’t auto-save. I tried to add social media links, but couldn’t do that either. Trying to post an image is an exercise in futility. I don’t see little reason to remain on a site I can’t use outside of the browser, when my primary device is an 12.9” iPad Pro. I uninstalled the app and will have to revisit the site through the browser to disable my account.
