Not formatting correctly on XS Max

What's the deal??

Please update the app to fit correctly on the new phone, and add back ff / rw during playback. And for some reason live view is showing horrible quality. Is this auto setting the quality or something? Live view is unusable and crashes the phone when pinch-zooming in.

Needs a Widget

DS Cam needs a widget to activate/deactivate Home Mode with one touch without having to open the app. I use Surveillance Station more as a home security system and the ability to toggle Home Mode as I come and go would be helpful. I realize geofencing can provide a similar function, but give me a button to push.

Horribly Corrupt Update!!!

Live stream doesn’t work properly and the interface constantly freezes. There seems to be some sort of memory leak. Same thing happens on my sisters phone too. The old version seems to be working fine on my other phone. When it comes to security, “reliability” is the most important thing; not “new features”. You seemed to have messed up your priorities pretty bad. Please fix this ASAP or I have to get a new security system.

Incompatible with one year old nas. Shame on Synology.

dropped support for v6 and below, which are highest supported on paid license QNAP NAS boxes and only one year old.

Version 5 is really fantastic, increasing speed and stability of camera navigation. As a result of the great App support, I bought 3 more camera licenses. Please continue to update the app! Notifications by-zone would be a really great feature if you could implement. For example, I’d like a push notification when someone pulls into my driveway, but not if someone drives by the house.

Home mode geofence completely broken

Ever since this update my system jumps in and out of home mode all day while I’m at home, and sometimes it never detects me at home. I’ve triple checked all the settings on the app and web site and everything is correct, but it just no longer works. Very frustrated!

My response to the developer response: The issue is not with my settings. The issue is the geofence is completely broken. I have notifications enabled for when I’m not home. Your app now constantly thinks I’m no home so I get notifications non-stop. Please fix your app. Gotta hand it to them. They somehow find ways to make this app worse. Now I get motion detected notifications all day, even when Home Mode is enabled. This thing barely functions. With the price we pay for Synology hardware and to use Surveillance Station, there’s no excuse for this app to be as bad as it is.

Push notifications no longer include image

Not sure exactly when this started happening, but notifications no longer include an image. The upgrade is nice, but really found having the image in the notifications useful.

Does not work when you are not on the same network

DSM just does not configure the router to forward the correct ports. Renders this app useless garbage.

Better than some, but opportunity remains

This is one of the most background hungry apps on my phone. This puts a notable dent in my battery life and ultimately led me to remove from that perspective alone. The app sometimes gets stuck sweeping back in time. Jumping to specific time is more reliable. I really wish it had a better way to skip to times of motion detection. Manual is a frustrating and time consuming experience.
