v5 is a nice upgrade. My system seems to be much snappier. Feature request: have x2, x4 option in playback speed of videos in notification. Thank you for the good work.

I’m a long time Synology user (since 2011). I’ve used the camera stuff for nearly the whole time. The latency while using the iOS app was the biggest disappointment by far. WiFi or cellular - same same. I’ve only used v5 over WiFi thus far, but I was blown away and the speed improvements even on a 6s with no changes to my mobile view setups. Can’t wait to try over cellular (which are tunneled through an external vpn).

Why would you change the interface from dark to light? and remove the ability to swipe right to change between view panes? and make the video playback stacked with the list in a confined container without the ability to scrub the video (unless you manually toggle into fullscreen)? what on earth were you thinking? Terrible UI changes. I’ve used this app for years and you’ve now evolved my experience from perfectly fulfilling to incredibly frustrating.

What were you thinking? this was a simple, direct, quick, functional app that didn’t blow out my eyes or my battery, but now, with the ridiculous move to white, i’m already looking for a different camera app. Why on earth did you change the color, and where is the quick, simple direct edit / disable buttons? Easily the worst thing you’ve ever done to one of your apps. Essentially unusable. Are you paying people to write the good reviews? And even worse, it forces you to work in Portrait Mode. I rarely work in Portrait Mode because of the iPad case I, and most people use. I’ve never seen a case that sits on a desk in Portrait Mode. It’s like you wrote the app ONLY FOR THE iPhone, NOT the iPad. I don’t own an iPhone. So, let’s summarize: White is awful. Can’t easily find the delete buttons. Can’t easily find enable/disable buttons. Moved to a convoluted, messy, illogical interface over the quick, simple, direct interface you had. Forced to use in Portrait Mode. Did I mention it’s WHITE!!!??? Stunned and disappointed, and likely soon to be uninstalled. Put back “disable”, and make a black interface selectable.

T-Mobile won’t stream HD unless you pay extra, you have to set your cameras stream setting to low res or pay more per month. It’s not DSCam app problem. Now for the new version, I don’t like the color scheme, it’s fine that it’s fancy but the bright white is too bright at night. Please let us have background choices.
Maybe a good idea but for sure poor implementation

The interface looks nicer now. I would not choose white background though. The biggest problem is that a lot of camera control functionality is not there anymore. No stored positions, no patrol. Nothing of that sort. What’s happened to all that?

I do like the updated UI and improved notifications because it now takes you to the camera and time in the recording when the event happened. BUT it is entirely unusable on the iPad! Ugh!!!!!

This was corrected in the android version but not on iOS. Please fix this and it would be great to have a dark mode. We use this app as a baby monitor.
