Doesn't work. You try to view any video (motion or continuous) and doesn't show anything but a frozen video with timestamp but the bottom timebar shows it’s playing. Perfect example, trying to look at any time frame (motion at 8pm) the screen shows a picture of live time and not in live view. Garbage, going back to QNAP. They know how to make hardware and software that lasts and works
No dark mode

Update says there is a dark mode on the menu - but no dark mode option anywhere - not on the menu, not in settings, nowhere. Update - there is no dark mode. There is no switch. They made the menu dark, which isn’t a dark mode. The multi-camera view still has huge bright white bars all around it - that is not “dark mode”. I wonder if we’ll ever get an actual dark mode?
New version is a giant leap forward

New version - problem with audio from cameras. No audio until I close the app (swiping up) and reopen the app. Also, please make the controls hide when viewing video playback. Cannot see bottom and top of screen during playback landscape mode. Original review I have used this app several times a week for the last few years. The new version is very slick and much more intuitive than the previous versions. It is much easier to seek and search videos and you can do this while viewing all cameras at the same time (similar to the Live View on surveillance station). The camera video also loads much faster after I log in to the app. Switching between cameras also happen much faster with much less waiting for the scroll wheel. I am very happy with the new app and I am happy Synology continues to improve their product (without further charging). I also love the new color scheme. (I saw a one star review which hated the app and kept focusing on the color scheme... Which says more about the reviewer than the app in my opinion).
Decent - backend is a bigger limitation

The surveillance station backend is a big limitation. Even if your cameras have sub streams on for mobile devices it will break on the backend of you try and mix h.265 and h.264 between the streams The mobile is very sensitive to bandwidth with h.265 streams often will not be able to keep up with lots of streams

So far this app has been pretty good and I Haven’t experienced any major issues. Tje apl has gotten better over time and has had some nice updates compared to when i first started using it. One thing I would recommend is for the notifications to not get deleted after I exit the app. Not sure why that happens, but I would like to keep a log of them for easy access.

I've setup quick connect and can login to the nas on mobile using it but DS Cam won't allow me to login
Where has the Recordings list gone?

At least on iOS, this last ‘update’ (downgrade to me) seems to have eliminated the left-side ‘Recordings’ item. This was super-important to me at least, because I constantly delete over 20, useless motion-triggered events every day! Otherwise, my server would fill with rubbish. Please reinstate the RECORDINGS selection ASAP!

When I moved to DS cam from Nest I loved the idea of getting away from the monthly fees but missed all the functionality I had on my Nest cam app. This is what I wanted from my DS cam. Thanks for update.
How do I enable/disable a camera?

Video much improved, I like the time line placement. My issue is the lost control of camera enable/disable function. If it is there, it is not obvious. Better still, with this big an update, you need to write a new set of instructions, ASAP.
