Too slow to use

Loading of videos on this app is so slow that the app is impossible to use. My husband’s android app is much faster even though he has an older phone.
I broke notifications and can’t get them back

Update on 06/25/20: Thank you, Synology, for responding to my issue! Notifications did come back to life. I bumped my rating up to 3 stars. However, not sure why notifications are so delayed, when managed by Synology NAS is selected. The notification has been about 2 minutes later than the actual motion event, where the time stamp of that notification (2 minutes late) is where it takes you in the timeline of the video feed, if you click on the notification. So, essentially, you then have to click on “Last Event” to cue up the actual detected motion event. Good app but the main thing that’s of most use has broken—the push notifications. They worked for about a week then I was trying to configure email alerts inside the NAS and suddenly the push notifications stopped. I’m using an admin account, checked the send push to mobile and still didn’t come back to life. Try to turn them back on in DC Cam and it spins then back to off position without any message. However, the Reolink app still manages to push out every motion alert. Really frustrating as to how easy it was to break the notifications without knowing how I broke them...and why following the QandA checklist didn’t bring them back.
Fix the battery usage

The geofence location settings eat the battery alive. Other apps do not have this issue.

I'm loving that the app is super fast and clean. The improvements over the last versions have been great additions, without losing the speed or funtionality. REQUEST: It would be awesome if the ability to search the Snapshots had a few additional search criteria options (i.e. keywords). I have a daily snapshot on a few cameras and it would be nice to sort them accordingly, via keyword. This is a feature in the Surveillance Station and would be useful on the app. Regardless keep up the great work. Thank you!
The latest update around July 21st, 2020 broke everything

Everything was working fine and then came an update where my camera did not stream anymore and my iPad crashes. Not happy at all! I had to update the synology server as well from version 8.2.7-6222 to 8.2.8-6334 to get it working again, it is the first time ever an update screws up everything!
This app has become unusable

I have used this app for years but it has become unusable. It has stored the login information for my Synology and it will not clear it so I can enter new IP and password. I have deleted all Synology apps multiple times, and when I install the application again it still remembers the previous IP address. If I enter the new login information manually, when I switch to the two factor app to get a six digit code it overwrites what I entered with the old login information and then crashes.

Absolutely useless product! There is no way to turn off event notifications to individual cameras. The download feature isn’t compatible with iOS due to imcompatible file type, so I don’t know why the option to download even exist. This overprice NAS is constantly locking up and requires endless restarts. I can’t return the Synology DS because the licenses are not returnable and made up for the bulk of the price. Also, found out after the fact when I bought this junk that the parent company is located china. I’m pretty sure the CCP have back door access to the NAS. Stay away from Synology!
Best surveillance app I’ve seen

Best mobile surveillance app out there. I can monitor all my home cameras that stream to my DS3617. Not sure why others are complaining it’s slow. Could be their wireless connection or maybe their phone is slow. I’m viewing 12 cams that are at least 4MP each and at a minimum of 15 FPS with at high bit rates. Make sure your wireless connection is strong and that your phone is recent. Personally I’m on 5 ghz 802.11 ac wave 2 access points and I can get 550-600 mbits/ sec from my phone to an iperf server I set up on my lan. Disregard the negative reviews about the app being slow something is not right with those set ups.
Stopped working in 14.2 beta

Obviously not your fault that it is not working under a beta. But thought I give you a heads up. Love the app and it worked without any issues in previous beta’s and under 14.0. But it stopped working under the 14.2 beta tonight. Hope it can be fixed quickly because I use the app constantly. Thanks DS
