This app is decent when it works, but it crashes probably 20% of the time when I try to open it.

Only subscription service naked this camera somewhat worthwhile but even then there's too many issue. Video lag, losing connectivity, HD video that's not really HD , etc. Also I wish there was a "Do Not Disturb" override on the iPhone/iPad apps. Camera is useless in the wee hours of the morning if Do Not Disturb is enabled.

Overall the cameras are wonderful but service really needs a lot of improvement. They never respond and it is really frustrating to continually keep signing in to the app. This was not an issue until Nest came along. Honestly everything worked better before Nest! And I find it very curious that my cameras worked perfectly during the subscription trial. As soon as I made a payment, I started to have issues again. Come one Nest, this has a lot of potential! Make it work! Months have passed and still the same old crap!!!!

I'm reinstalling my drop cam app, the nest app does not have the features I want for saving images & seeing my history of saved clips. Drop Cam has been excellent

Please don’t replace this app with the Nest app!

Dropcam has recently allowed the users to monitor videos through the Nest app. I was forced to use Nest a few months ago because Dropcam kept crashing, but it appears to be working perfectly now. I prefer the Dropcam app over Nest because 1. The viewing screen is larger, 2. Preview videos upload immediately, 3. App is simple to use, 4. You can maneuver through app faster to check your cameras when your on the go and in a hurry.

This app is so much better than that bad Nest one; or it was when it worked. Since the latest update I can only see the past events that fit on the screen. Viewing past activity is the reason we have this camera! Please fix...

After using both the drop cam app, and the nest cam app. I have found that the Dropcam app is much better. With the drop cam app set up is very easy and foolproof. With the nest cam app and the camera as well I found the set up to be very buggy and does not allow as many options as does the drop cam app. I have family who would like to look at the areas that I have on the drop cam I have no difficulty setting them up. With the nest Cam however I have found this practically impossible. It should be notice however even with the improved resolutionon the nest cams the increased price is definitely not worth it.

I bought this camera (Dropcam) as a baby monitor. The IOS app constantly crashes. I've used this the app on a iPhone 4s,iPhone 6plus, iPad mini, and an iPad Pro. The apps doesn't function on any of these devices. The camera feed cuts out all the time. I've moved devices around to make sure WiFi was not the culprit. I have also switched internet providers and tweaked my router setting while I've had the device. If your looking for a good baby monitor or security device look for a different device. You will be disappointed with the app and the Dropcam.

Originally the app worked great. Now every time I attempt to update the wifi information on the device the app crashes. Because of this I am unable to update the wifi data on the camera and now it is far less reliable as it is on the wrong signal. Too bad as a year ago I would have given this 4-5 stars.
