Used for years, and hate it

I've used dropcams for years. Long before they were aquired by Google and rolled into Nest. At the beginning, the product was decent. It mostly functioned, and I was buying a "startup" product so I didn't mind the occassional quirk. Since the aquisition, it has only gotten worse not better. You would think that gaining support from Google would make the product class leading right? Not at all. The app is unstable, I constatly open the app to find that it has gone to a "White screen" mode where nothing functions. This happens about once a day. Why do I open the app several times a day? Because I have the app setup to automatically turn the cameras on / off when I leave / return home. And that functionality doesn't work about half the time. Meaning I need to launch the app and do it manually. Sometimes, when I launch the app, I am randomly signed out. This happens at least once a week. It used to only happed every once in a while and I thought it corresponded to app updates. But now it happens so much that it's just an annoyance. Seriously one of the most frustrating product I have ever used. Wish I could give it ZERO stars. Why don't I use something else? I invested so much in a multiple camera setup, that it's so much of a hastle. But, believe me, once I have the chance to switch I am bailing and never looking back.
I like it better than the Nest App.

The original is better at the previews of all cameras at once. Compare the larger sized rectangles to the small circles you get with the Nest app. Much better on your eyes IMO.

Can't scroll back in the activity feed more than a couple of hours and it crashes - what good does this do me? I'm paying for this?
Crashes when trying to look at recordings

Not sure what happened but I consistently will not allow me to access recordings. Also, the camera is going off line ALL of the time! Not sure what the heck is going on!

"Connection Lost" is the issue this app has with video playback. Doesn't matter if the cameras have perfect wifi connections at even lower video speed. Come on Nest. Fix this POS app.
