I’m finally throwing in the towel after the latest. I believe one out of every eight deliveries goes smoothly but I will highlight a couple of gems I’ve had recently. In one order a couple months ago, we had ordered three sandwiches, delivery time said 45 minutes. Well, over two hours later our driver finally arrived, went out to meet him and he actually threw the food at me and ran off. Why? Because, not only was he an hour and a half late, but we also discovered that he ate one of our sandwiches. I understand that DoorDash has some bad apple drivers here and there, but their initial response was to simply give us a $5 credit... Gee thanks DoorDash, that wouldn’t even cover the cost of the sandwich. The next incident happened just last night. Placed my order at 5:40PM waited an hour and a half and found out they had cancelled my order, after the driver picked it up, because the driver had to take someone to the hospital. Normally, I would give the driver the benefit of the doubt, but based on past experience, my guess is the driver wanted a free meal. They actually credited my meal, so I placed the same order which, apparently, created confusion with the drivers and the restaurant. I didn’t get my food until 9:00PM. The response from DoorDash is another $5 credit... Again, gee thanks. It’s impossible to get them on the phone, so I’m not even going to try and I’m just going to try GrubHub.

I placed an order using Apple Pay, app told me payment failed but charge showed in credit card activity. Also, fees are buried through the process. Door dash needs to show these up front so we know what we’re paying. The experience feels very deceitful. Trust the user to understand the fees up front rather than adding them in through out the process. Also, fix your support process. Your in app support points to faqs and let’s you view old orders but since my order never completely processed, I had to spend time digging around to find your help section in google.

Worst food delivery... didn’t receive my order and they had already charged me.. don’t bother with this useless app

At least i ALWAYS get my food when i order from UberEATS. With Door Dash they have poor drivers and customer service. I’ve had multiple times where i never got my food So was left HUNGRY and waiting for no darn reason. And then the customer service agents will only credit you five dollars for the inconvenience and waste of your time that’s ridiculous what can I do with five dollars most of their deliveries are sometimes seven dollars added on to your final pay. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

I had one order take 3 hours to get delivered. Refer a friend program is also a scam. I have referred over 30 people and shows $0 next to their names, it didn’t give me the credit. That’s like Uber shadiness.

I have been ordering 1-2 times a week for months, and I have not have a negative experience. The restaurants may not make something right, may not pack something right, but That's on them. DoorDash is great.
