This app is terrible. Food is always cold but whats worse is the order is always missing valuable items that were paid for and they give u a credit instead of your money back!!!And when you complain they dont even respond! Dont waste your money. DONT USE DOORDASH, use Uber eats or grub hub.

I’ve usually had mediocre experiences with door dash in general but today was the worst. On a 40 dollar order I placed I didn’t receive any of it. Instead I got a total opposite order and was given a 12 dollar credit!! When I tried to reach out to customer service I was instead put on an endless hold for an hour. Save yourself the trouble and use someone else.

Here is exactly why I LOVE being a driver- I like being on my own. I don’t like weaving in and out of other people’s workspaces. I’m not stuck somewhere at the mercy of my boss/bosses, I don’t have to deal with rude customers, I don’t have to do any side work or pick up shifts for other’s who can’t come in, I can work whenever I want to without having to face my anxiety if I don’t feel like going because...I don’t have to! And that alone makes me feel like working more often. I can listen to my music while I wait for orders, or draw, do homework, take pictures, walk, practically anything, and no one’s going to bust my chops to get busy with something. I have all this time to reflect and meditate and I simultaneously know I’m making money. Maybe it’s not a lot but it adds up and I WILL be the one to take full advantage of this genius idea of DoorDashing because it’s the first gig I’ve ever worked that’s given me real hope and taken my mind of all the BS in my brain. It is so much fun and I am trying to hustle the heck out of it. Highly recommend trying it.

Just used doordash for the first time tonight! The restaurant I ordered from caused a few issues but my driver was nothing but helpful & even covered the cost of the issue with her own money!! Got the food here as soon as the restaurant got the order fixed, was very sweet & kept me up to date with everything.

In Austin TX for the weekend and after a night on the town decided to use DoorDash for food delivery. Place an order and received confirmation and eta of 45 min. 1.5 hours later nothing! Had to request a chat just to find out they couldn’t find a dasher?? In the mean time the restaurant closed. They did refund my money including the $5 tip for the imaginary delivery person. Use Grubhub, they are consistent and appear to treat their driver fair. I will be deleting this app.

I placed an order via door dash and called the restaurant to ask them to include extra sauce. They said they don’t work with door dash... How can you have a service that accepts an order for a restaurant that doesn’t take orders from them? Ridiculous...

Two changes I personally would make

1. Ask me if I want to tip AFTER the delivery is made. 2. If the restaurant is closed when the driver arrives, send a notification telling the customer about it. Then provide alternatives. Or ask what the customer wants to do. Everything else about this is pretty awesome :) .

Software is messed up

The software isn’t designed to order food from certain places so when you order it gives the driver a confusing list which the people at the restaurant barely understand. I’ve had this problem a few times and luckily one driver called me to ask what my actual order was. Use a different app or go in yourself and you’ll actually get what you ordered.
