On top of charging you for delivery and a service fee, they also sometimes sneakingly Increase the price of food from the restaurant. For example, selling something for $20 that should be $15. When asked about it they refund you the difference and say they’ll make the changes and then never do. This has happened to me twice.

First order: one item that I paid for was completely left out. When I told the driver, he said he’d looked into and never came back or responded. Second order: Delivery person was wandering around my back yard while her boyfriend was sitting halfway in the car, blocking my driveway, smoking a cigarette. Third order: Trying to order from a restaurant, who I’m on the phone with, and it cancelled my order saying they’re not accepting orders. She says she’s literally at the computer waiting for the order to come in. And Doordash cancelled it. Doordash is the WORST delivery service I’ve ever used.

There is no way to reach them to complain.

I’ve used Door Dash many times, but they didn’t bring me all of my food this time and I can’t see another way to voice a complaint. The app doesn’t provide any way to comment on the service which is a problem. I will use another service from now on.

I was so excited this app had some of my favorite restaurants that didn’t deliver themselves! My driver on my first order was great! Arrived much quicker than expected! Knowing now how the service was I wish I had the ability to tip the driver more then I did, before the food arrived. If it’s a transaction related cost to only pull funds 1 time. I get it for a “start up” in the shadow of Uber Eats. But these drivers deserve to have the option to be tipped more IN the app. Otherwise the average customer won’t pay them anything that’s Worth their time. app in general is fine but you have to question their business ethics...they try to hide “service fee” as a part of tax. line item says tax and fee and if you open to check the detail, most of that fee is service fee....i decided to check once when i noticed my “tax” was like 30%!...this is on top of the delivery fee. i had been using the app since there’s a promotion for free delivery just to find out there’s this hidden service fee. when i compared the same items from the same restaurant against another similar app, the total cost was pretty much the same even after their “free delivery”!!! ?

Really hate that companies continue to hide fees. You have hotels that hide resort fees, airlines that hide baggage and seating fees and then delivery companies that say you get free delivery but then charge you a $2.00 service fee. Sorry, but that’s not free delivery! Be honest and give us the truth. Loosing trust in all..

Never received food

I ordered ihop through DoorDash. I do live in an apartment so I had to give the driver the gate code. I also told her if she ended up on a side gate we would have to let her in. We got her text she was running the order. After it was all said and done we never got our food. She said she tried contacting us. Also at the same time she did have thr gate code. She never even tried. We get no food and no refund of $54 including her tip. Can’t talk to anyone only email. This service is horrible!! I will use favor, Grubhub ubereats etc. never a problem.
