Dropping it

huskerjoe2015

Dropping it and not coming back after learning that they scammed customers with how they paid their delivery people. Tips weren’t given to delivery person as they should have. Absolutely NO confidence or trust remain. Encourage everyone to drop them too.

Misleading and contradictory

I signed up to be a Dash, received an email and text letting me know that my activation kit was on the way, while I was waiting for the activation kit I received 2/3 text messages a day let me know that I was days away from earning with Door Dash and text letting me know how busy my area was My kit arrived, went through the whole set up, received more texts and an email saying I was set up and ready to make money. When I click Dash Now I get an error I reached out to support and they say My area isn’t accepting new drivers and if I want to do Door Dash to move to another region This is ridiculous, why would Door Dash waste my time, their time, resources and materials to send me several text messages a day and an activation kit with a Red Card, have me set up an account, give them my banking information for nothing, absolutely nothing You guys need to double check your work, stop wasting potential dashers time and stop wasting your time, resources and material Thanks for nothing, Door Dash

Not worth it

They have some kind of hidden rule. My account got deactivated after being an active dasher for two days. I wasn’t able to do orders one day and don’t know if that made it deactivate or not. The support is not helpful either. I’ve sent them a reactivation email like they suggested but I haven’t had any contact back.

App will not work

VisaMcC

I received my activation kit and tried to login but I am not able to login. I have reset password and still not able to login. I have sent several emails and even reached out via telephone. No help at all.

Payment

lt. Dann Taylor

They give u a guarantee amount and if the customer dos t tip they pay that amount and if they tip u get the amount if tip is more than that amount u get more if less than that amount dash will pay the difference so basically you are getting paid by tips

Bugs

Good money. App is disgustingly lousy.

I came aboard DoorDash from Grubhub because of the instant cash-out option. Grubhub only paying weekly wasnt the worst but if something comes along appearing to be more innovative and convenient then of course I willingly jump aboard. I am upset to announce my personal studies and experience as a dasher to be far from expected. This has lead to me steering away from dashing unless I am desperate for immediate funds. Here are some insights of my reports as a dasher: -Unable to ever average over $10/hr. An algorithm must be in practice to make this happen. Impossible for tips range customer to customer yet every hour compared to earnings equals to almost exactly $10/hr everytime. -Never seen a tip over $5 regardless of the size, location, or current stats. -Deliveries to family, friends, and customers that tipped $20 and up yet again I still only recieved seen $5 tips or less. -Offers are VERY rarely over $6-$8 -Restuarant’s tablets are poorly managed therefore leading to orders not being submitted until we show them the order -(follows previous statement) Having to choose between either being okay with making $8 for a task that takes over an hour or receive poor reviews and stats for deciding to cancel and transfer to next dasher because no one wants to make $7/hr -(follows previous two statements) Being forced as a dasher to receive low “on-time” ratings because restaurants are behind or their tablet doesnt work so they again only submit the order after we appear and show it to them. As a Dasher I felt continuously set up for failure and overall used and abused. ——-Merchant fails to have order ready on time = Dasher gets lower ratings. ———-Customer unappeased with food received = Dasher gets lower ratings. ———Traffic/Merchant causes ETA to be prolonged for any reason = Dasher gets lower ratings. —— Dasher Support Advisors are not ensuring our issue is resolved and say nothing can be done about the review issues that we feel are not right for us. Today for the first time ever I cherry picked (only accepted order I felt was worth it). Funny how this resulted in my completion time, customer rating, and on-time rating to shoot up and my acceptance rate to go from 98% to 70%. DoorDash as I have reported for has created a platform that for some area feel are set up for failure. I have no idea why I have wasted so much time being a Dasher when I made twice as much on Grubhub. Grubhub customers tips are 10X more than DoorDash because Grubhub doesnt steal them. My Grubhub largest tip was $160 for a taco bell catering order. I am done with DoorDash.

Sounds like a good opportunity, but...

I signed up to dash after talking to another mom at the playground about how great the money was. From all of the things I read and notifications the app sent me during the sign up process, I was under the impression I would be able to start making money within the week. Everything went well and quickly as far as becoming a “Dasher”, it took about 2 or 3 days to receive my redcard, the app notified me when the packet was sent and again after it was delivered. One notification actually told me to “activate the red card and start earning money today.” Unfortunately, the first opportunity I got to start working (the next day), the app acted like it was not functioning properly. I ended up deleting and reinstalling the app after I tried everything I could think to do. It then became clear to me that my account had been deactivated. I called customer service (in India, of course) and the man told me the account was deactivated bc my area had enough Dashers at this time and I would be notified when my account was reactivated. He said I should’ve been notified by email about the situation. My problem with the whole thing was that (even after learning the reason behind the deactivation) I was sent notifications to “go earn some money”. How about, notify me that my account is temporarily disabled bc the market is saturated through push notifications rather than email. Also, it would be a good idea to list that possibility in the help center as a reason for deactivation. Additionally, informing me that I could sign up but that I would be put on a wait list until the market opened up would be super sweet. It was all just a big disappointment, I am still unable to Dash, and I’m not happy about it at all. Good luck DoorDash.

Don’t get this app

Crazydez99

Door dash can be great, but most of the time the addresses to the restaurants are wrong, and now there’s likely too many dashers because I’m never able to make money on this app anymore no matter what i do. I even woke up 4 hours early to schedule a promotion dash, and it said that the spot was already filled up. If you’re looking to make some extra money, I’d suggest finding a different solution that is more accessible.

So confusing

I signed up three weeks ago to be a dasher. I thought it would be the perfect way to make some extra cash since i’m currently unemployed because i’m pregnant. I was so excited when all the stuff came in and I was ready to dash. I set up my app which took a long time, only to find out I was able to actually dash. I’m not sure why they let you think your area needs dashers but then your account gets deactivated? I contacted the customer service tons of times and they just kept going in circles. I was just trying to simply find out what the problem was and they couldn’t tell me till around 20 emails later. Very disappointed. Stop over-hiring in areas if there are already enough dashers. Thanks.
