So-So

Maybe this was a great way to make money when Doordash first came out but not so much so now. I’ve not had a great experience since orientation. The person hosting orientation was rude as hell. I was not able to purchase the shirt or red/hot bag from her because of a system error with cards & she didn’t want to take cash. The shirt isn’t mandatory but there are some restaurants here in Texas that will not give you a customers order if you don’t have that red/hot bag. I had to purchase that bag for $4 more online, when it should’ve been given to me for free along with the red card. I’ve had orders sent to me that were 33mins away from my location or the hotspot I was near. When you decline orders like that your acceptance rating goes down but if I had accepted it my on time rating would’ve gone down. I can rarely schedule dashes in my area because so many people do this now. When I can finally schedule a dash or “dash now” is an option, I go 15-20mins before I get an order. So I’ve wasted gas & only made $20-$30 when my 1-1.5hr shift ends. It’s a great concept & if you’re looking to make a little money on the side, go for it but don’t depend on it for big money or for this to replace your day job.

Bad app, faulty system

I like doing Doordash but I catch myself frustrated most of the time. I want to outline a few things I like and a few I don’t like in hopes that Doordash will actually read the reviews and take it into consideration: Things I like: - Schedule your work; - Shows me exactly what I earned at the end of delivery; - It is somewhat fair with prices paid to drivers compared to other delivery apps. Things I don’t like: - it is hard to find scheduled time (at least in my area); - You can get “dropped” off the app if your reviews are not excellent. Reviews are very subjective, people get mad at Doordash or the restaurant and they take it on the driver.; - The app will sometimes give you the wrong address. This happened at least five times with me. I call the customer and they get mad that I’m not there yet (I had a customer call me stupid for getting her address wrong, and I probably got a 1 star from her too); - Double checking the order should be the restaurant responsibility not the driver. I’ll use McDonalds as an example. They pack their food and they seal it so I can’t see what’s in it. I read them the order and if they are not busy, they will listen to me. The same thing happens at several other restaurants. Checking the order myself only works in “mom and pop” type of restaurants because I have to pay myself for it. Also, most of the time I have no clue what the order is supposed to look like, so I have to trust the restaurant the order is correct. - There is no way on the app to say the restaurant doesn’t have an item. This happened to me 4 times. A client order a milkshake at McDonalds and they don’t have shakes, I call the customer, they say it is OK, but on the app I need to click as if I got the milkshake. One time in special, I went to Chipotle, and they were out of chips!! I tried to call the customer, but the app wouldn’t allow me to place the call, it kept saying that the phone could not be used. I try to dial myself and the phone was out of service. I tried contacting Doordash but it would be easier to talk to the President than to Doordash. I took the order minus the chips to the customer who was upset that there were no chips, yelled at me like it was my fault Chipotle had no chips. I wish Doordash was more responsive; - Doordash divide delivery regions by state (kind of) and not by region. I live in the middle of two delivery regions (15 min north to one and 20 minutes south to other). However I can only see the region to the north because how doordash divides the delivery regions. I can also see regions that are 3, 4, even 5 hours from me, but I can’t see the one that is 20 minutes south from me. This is it, and I got to the conclusion that if you really need money, get a part time job, it will be more reliable. If you want some extra money, and you have patience to wait in your car for a long time, doordash might be for you.

Bad and ruin your time

Katelerts

They didnt care how long you will have to wait for the food when you have to order. The worst is when the red card didnt work you pay cash for someone else food then they didnt you pay you back. Bad company to work with as the individual delivering job ever

Company review

Pray that nothing goes wrong in your process of becoming a dasher because the support system and website are awful. I’m sure it’s probably good work but it’s been over a month since I started trying to become a dasher, so I wouldn’t know. Just be aware you may have to have a long waiting period before you actually get to work.

MAL SERVICIO A DASHER

dasherdashermslo

Inconsistent and not in real time

TruthTellerFeller

There are several times That I open the app to work a shift I already had scheduled and I’m not given the option to sign in, yet I get a text telling me I never signed in. Also, there should be an in app option to contact support. You have to go on a scavenger hunt to do so now. Also I would like the option to be notified about when a schedule is being posted for the areas I work. None seems to exist. It’s like you have to check the app every so often to see if a shift is open which is crap.
