unreliable and indifferent

Scheduled my dolly to be there between 4-430 I. 12/21. Needed a spare bed in the house for Christmas. The day of the move. I clear all the pathways, set up the room to receive the bed and then get a weird text from them saying they’d be there in an hour. I told them that’s not what we scheduled and we couldn’t do earlier due to work. No response. So 4 o’clock 415,430 came and went and no dolly. I message d them and they said they were held up on another job and they were on their way. And would be there in an hour. Now more than 2 hours away still no dolly and my fiancé has to leave. Yes I call them again and they are now 20 mins away. Then I receive a call from customer service asking me if I want to cancel. What no, I want what you promised and what I paid for. Too late. Unless you have all the time in the world try someone else.

If I were to know they work with independent contractors than I wouldn’t have scheduled a Dolly. My “helper” Christopher arrived on time to my apartment with his van to move my couch 12 miles. He arrives and walks in my living room and sees the couch disassembled. We discuss that the couch is broken down already and he says he will be right back to check his van and to see how things will fit. Ten minutes go by and he doesn’t come back. I go outside and realize that he left. Didn’t say anything and just left. I get a notification saying the job is complete. I can’t make this up. Pretty crappy service too. Job was never done and charged 216$

Almost feels like a scam

I tried to use Dolly to schedule a pickup of a treadmill I bought on Facebook Marketplace, only to not be assigned a helper thus having to reschedule 3 times. Still no helper. Customer support is responsive, but not helpful. I’d highly recommend going in a different direction when you need help moving something.

Good price. Not so good experience.

The truck wasn’t large enough for my little one bedroom much less 850 sq ft. I was told I needed to stage my move better by the helper. I’m not a mover, that’s what I payed them to do.

I scheduled a dolly 3 days in advance and my “helper” canceled literally 30 minutes before he was supposed to deliver it. Literally made me and my wife so upset I’ve never used this app before and I’m still waiting on my delivery. This is ridiculous.

I wouldn’t recommend using this moving service. They showed up and did not have any tools to undo my bed, they said they weren’t professional movers and dolly works like Uber “pick up and drop off” I was very disappointed. I was paying $574 for them to just pick up and drop off my stuff ? That is insane. They also told me that my washer and dryer wouldn’t fit in the moving truck. Somehow, they managed to fit them in there after I begged them to try. When we got to the new place, they randomly put thing everywhere and they ended up putting my beds together for an extra fee. I would never recommend using this company. Some of my furniture was chipped, due to lack of protection. Also my mattress was damaged/torn.
