Movers moved a bar cart for me and damaged it. It has been over a week since I filed the claim with zero follow ups from Dolly team. I have emailed them 3x with no response. I hope they resolve the issue soon.
You can get totally screwed

This app promises moving and muscle anytime. But you can plan days ahead of time to use Dolly only to find out on the day of that there is no help coming and all the company can say is, “we’re trying to find you helpers.” Do t trust that you’re actually going to get help.

I thought I’d try using Dolly as opposed to a traditional moving company. I hired 2 helpers for 2 hours to load a 6x12 trailer. They made several individual trips down the freight elevator which wasted time and I had to direct them on how to put things into the trailer so everything would fit. Initially there was a lot of wasted space. Helpers left promptly after 2 hours without allowing me to extend their time by 30 min or so to complete the job. I had to finish loading everything by myself. I won’t use Dolly again.

I bought some sofas because I knew my grandparents were visiting the next day. Our couches are ugly and old so it was time. Big Lots recommended using Dolly. We tried to call Dolly to schedule a delivery and they said we had to do it online. What the heck... So we download the app and it’s pretty confusing. We figure it out eventually and schedule a Dolly for 12:30. Nobody shows up. I wonder what the heck happened because the website said they don’t charge your card until the package is delivered and my Amex notified me that the amount was taken and I had no sofas delivered. This is pretty much delivery Uber. I had people messaging me asking about the delivery. Then I got an email saying things would be delivered at 12:30AM but the delivery came at 8:30PM. The delivery guys were great but the whole system was no good. Not worth 104 dollars.

I scheduled a dolly 4 days in advance. 20 min before appointment window they text that they don’t have helpers.

Wanted to browse dolly jobs as I wanted to put my truck and dolly to occasional use, but the apply period to become a helper is 5-10 days. Developers: At least let me browse the jobs offered so that I can determine if it’s worth my time to submit an application.
