7/18/19 - My alerts, stopped working a few weeks ago. I’ll spare the complaining. Bankrupt company, basically no customer support. Great news! The MyQ app works with a Craftsman Assurelink Internet Gateway. You will need to delete the “place“ from your Craftsman app to free up the gateway, install the MyQ app and complete the setup. When the MyQ app asks you what device to install select Internet Gateway. The photo should resemble your Craftsman Gateway. It then asks for the gateway ID. Enter the numbers on the bottom of the Craftsman gateway and, assuming you deleted the “place” from the Craftsman gateway, it should work! If it gets past this point, you can proceed with the installation as normal. Note that you will need to re-install the garage doors. This will probably require getting up to the motor so you can press the setup button on the opener.
Alerts stopped working

This app has worked flawlessly over the past two years. Recently all alerts stopped working - this is really why I like this app as I could always know when my garage door opened and closed or remained opened for a period of time. I have no hope that this will be resolved as this app has not been updated for years.

Same as other recent reviewers. This app serves its limited purpose for a few years (remotely control and monitor garage door) but then suddenly notifications stopped working. With no new development in sight I switched over to the MyQ app (following instructions others left here) and it worked seamlessly. It’s a shame a reliable brand like Craftsman has gone by the wayside.

The app is no longer sending notifications to phone when opened. It’s useless now
Chamberlain said support for this app has ended and use My Q

Fantastic support from Chamberlain. I opened a Chamberlain support case and they said support for this application had ended. They walked me through deleting the gateway from the old Assurelink site and creating a new account and registering the gateway to the Chamberlain My Q site. I downloaded the My Q app and the push notifications are working again.
Alerts use to work

Download myQ. Reset your garage opener. And setup. You’ll be prompted to download the new app. Set it up. And you’ll receive alerts once again as normal.
Text alert don’t reliable
