I love shopping Costco but app it is bad app. Out stock on app but I can check out at Costco.com on web browser. Bad app many errors!
Sponsored Ads and Share Functionality Hindrances

So I pay for a membership to this warehouse, and the app shows sponsored advertisements search results making sorting and filtering cumbersome? Why do I have to look past some sponsored result every two or three legitimate items that I’m trying to filter down to make a purchase? This is a paid membership mind you. Also heaven forbid you just want to copy a link to a product and share it from the application because the only three options you have are Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest… No ability to use messages or copy a link for dissemination. Embarrassing product for an otherwise stellar company.

Why don’t bother? It does not really help with checking inventory and it does not work for delivery or pick up at the club. Like most everything in Costco’s design is the idea of being in the club. It is what you’ll have to do anyways. I don’t like Costco does not, and never will, have a “scan and go” option like Sams club. Their entire model is dependent on you being in store and waiting in line. After this pandemic, the last thing I want is to be in a crowded store. This app is just not practical for those folks that want to go in and out. If you like coupons and ads for Costco and their flyer then download this. If you’re on the go and like the Sams Club scan and go and ability to track what’s in stock then this app fails at that.

After downloading this app I could not login to it using my login and password that work fine on Costco.com on my desktop. The website does not have a tech support phone number for its website and mobile app. Yeap, with regard to web technology this is no Amazon.

Tried using the app to find something as simple as “beef” or “pork” and it brings up a slew of Wagyu A5 and Holy Grail meats along with other expensively special meats. Why can I got on the web site and find the normal USDA Choice and Prime briskets and tenderloins, yet the app only shows $999 cuts of meat and other outrageously priced $20-40/lb cuts. Ridiculous to find anything browsing with this app when I can just click over to the web page on my phone and find the normal product offerings available at my local Costco. Thinking about uninstalling since it is really just a membership info place holder at this point.

I absolutely LOVE this app, and I’ve had it for a few years now...and I continue to see new things to this day that I didn’t know it had or was a thing. Awesome options to be organized, and you can create “wish lists” to move items into them if you want to get them but can’t at the moment. So you will have lists to go to down the road. Very easy to use, it saves all of your info so after the first order, everything is saved in there so you don’t have to enter it ever again. Also has a digital membership card, and an option to select your rebate/$ back rewards if you have the executive membership to see a tally through the year of how much of a rebate you will get. You can do 2 day delivery and other options if available in your area, and so much more. Even an option like a few weeks ago I needed new slippers, so since they didn’t have what I wanted, there’s an option that Costco offers where there are links direct to the companies and you get Costco’s warehouse prices on things if you go through Costco. It transferred me to dear forms slippers website, and I ordered through them and received Costco’s warehouse price instead of what a regular customer would pay for it. I can’t even begin to list all that this app does and can be done with it. Use the “list” function to keep everything you need to eventually get all organized and easy to find. I have multiple lists, examples are- Shawna’s wish list”, “Office/business supplies”, Ricks list, home list, Christmas, and more and if I find an item I really want, but can’t afford it right now, I just move it to one of my lists so I can pull it up anytime. There’s also a “shopping list” option, and a option to download coupons digitally and it then puts its in a shopping list for you so when you go to Costco you can just open it up, and get it all...it’s all things with a digital coupon. Ugh...I just love Costco and this app, trust me folks...you will love it if you shop at Costco. You can also view past orders and reorder etc. Ok, I’ll shut up now...???♀️
