Garbage and Possibly Hacked

This app is hot garbage. I have used the online site (including its mobile variant) for years and thought I’d try the app. Big mistake. Upon opening the app it immediately goes into some kind of self-check, and declares that the app needs updating to continue. I literally just downloaded it so that can’t be right, but whatever, I tap “OK” since it’s the only option. It appears to download something, then crashes. Lovely. I restart the app, no warnings this time, it just presents a progress bar titled “Please wait while we retrieve your information”, which appears to hang because I gave it 15 minutes before giving up on it. Bear in mind, I HAVEN’T ENTERED ANY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION YET. So unless it’s scanning my e-mails, trying to hack my CareFirst account information on its own, THERE IS NO INFORMATION TO RETRIEVE. So I delete the app, re-download it. Still with the endlessly hung “Retrieving” screen. Now I’m deleting it for good. Either the developers are not aware that an app shouldn’t update itself outside the App Store, or this app has been hacked, or it lies about what it is doing. Any of those options are a huge red flag. I’d recommend just using the excellent web portal.

Since I bought the iPhone X the app crashes every time I try to login. Website works fine.

This app won’t even let me log in. It’ll kick me out. It’s too bad because I wish this worked so I could see my benefits quickly!

I have used other insurance apps (Kaiser, Cigna) and they are infinitely better. For all the money the BCBS makes, it is a crime their app is this horrible.
Terrible. Use the mobile site instead.

This app is basically unusable. I open the app and once I try to login and it crashes immediately. Restart the app? Same thing. Restart the phone? Same thing. Awful. Just use the mobile site instead.

When I tap login to my account the app crashes. I didn’t used to have this problem, but the app is now useless.

Title says it all. Barely functional webapp that doesn't instill any confidence in me that Carefirst is a leader in modern, 21st-century health technologies.

Opens to login screen but if you click “login” it crashes. I’ve never been able to use this app.

Same as previous user. Download app from Apple store, It then wants to do an update from who knows where, not the Apple Store. It then continues to crash to desktop. Had to dial 911 today and app did not help. It keeps crashing. I can’t log into my account or find an urgent care facility or emergency room. The only thing reliable about the app is in crashing to desktop.

Can’t even login to the app. When selecting login, it crashes. Pretty useless that way.
