I have been trying for nine months to get this app to work with Drivewise. I’ve been through level Tech one and level tech two.
Drains battery overnight

About 2 months ago I noticed my iPhone 8 battery was completely drained in the morning. Checking battery usage, the Allstate app is responsible for at least 50% of the battery usage every day. At night, the phone is charged at least 50%. In the morning down to 5%. I don’t like the requirement to keep the app location always on instead of only while using.

I just wanted to use the app to view my ID cards because my job wanted see them. Definitely don’t have this option. There’s really not much you can do on the app. I just expect more from a company of this stature.

The app should not run unless I reach a certain speed. It runs and drains my battery all day long even when my phone is sitting still on my desk for 8 hours. I get that My location is important for the app when I’m driving but my phone is new and my battery indicates this app is what drains it every day with precise location checks.

I despise having to use this to get a “discount”. It’s drains my phone battery and is constantly in my top 3 apps of my battery report.
Great way to do it all yourself without having to wait on the phong for long periods of time

v16.3 - Battery drain

The most recent update to v16.3 has caused a significant impact on the phone’s battery usage if you use DriveWise. If I set the app’s Location access to While Using and disable the Background App Refresh setting then there is no more battery drain. However, in that mode DriveWise is not recording the driving unless you have the app open.
