Need to be able to control troops

I’ve waited for an app for this classic game. I like it enough, but I wish I had more control of what the troops attack, and that I could maneuver them more freely.

I realize they need to make money, but there has to be a better way than “your money or your time.” You either have to wait a whole day or more to build or upgrade a farm/other building, or you can buy a bunch of gold to finish the building. There are also stupid brightly cartoon treasure chests you can collect resources from, which are clearly meant to imitate games like candy-crush. The game is designed to addict, and to waste time and money.

I agree with other comments that it takes forever to build an upgrade. Caravan War- has a better system, you accumulate gold/gems, but once u get enough ? gems, building is easier. Castle Seige- very difficult takes forever, a player would lose interest anymore. Please consider this suggestions, make building time lesser... Thanks ?

It’s a fun game but controlling your army during battle is hell, every time you swipe to direct where you want them to go you end up moving the hole screen and moving things around in your kingdom is a pain
Please give us the Original AoE games! I’d pay $30+ for the old games just ported to iOS

I’d pay $30+ for the old games just ported to iOS It’s just another “attack another player’s base/camp/castle etc...that’s it...kinda disappointed :( What happened to decent RTS single player games? I don’t have to “join an alliance” or “attack other’s base” that every other game is doing...I just want a game that I can load up...play at my leisure, and stop and start “when I want to” and stop with this, “you have been attached” cash grab games...yea, if you spend $100-200 you could dominate other people....I just want to play a game I enjoy... If you loved the old AoE pc games...due yourself a favour and do not download this “cash gra...er, game” lol

Here’s a bug: try to launch the game and play a battle while you’re on the phone. Always freezes under this condition.. and others. Too many to mention, the worst is that I lose the battle and lose stars points etc.. horrible! Don’t punish your users for crappy game code!

I LOVE the old Age of Empires games. I would still play them if I had a computer that would run them. This game is meh. It’s fun, but I would rather pay $10 for a version that was more like the older games. I never do in-app purchases, but I’m pretty much to the point where I would have to to keep it going. It take sooooo long for things to upgrade and costs so much in resources for, what, 1 more troop?! I’m not waiting 3 days and paying 180,000 food for half a Calvary troop. Oh, and once you get to 100,000 stone max capacity it won’t upgrade anymore... at least mine won’t. So say good bye to getting the flame tower to level 2, that costs 200,000 stone. It’s been fun, annoying and frustrating. I’m about ready to delete the app and dream about the past games again.

I’ve payed the game and it’s quite fun. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. But recently I can’t get past the loading screen when it comes up with an error message about connecting to the server. My WiFi connection is fine and worked previously with the game but it stopped all of the sudden. I tried submitting a report but the email address doesn’t work. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded the game but that didn’t work. The support forum is far too confusing to navigate through so I can’t tell what’s recent and what’s from over a year ago. They need to update this game badly. I literally can’t stand it right now. I’m only giving this review an extra star because I did enjoy it before the problems.
Happy to see in iOS but few changes needed

Hi First of all, I am a great fan of this game since PC versions. I have a Windows phone and been playing this online version since a year. With the latest build 1.13, I have below comments that is common to both iOS and Windows: 1. Multiple accounts and devices: is a wonderful feature. Pros. 2. Bring more different type of army troops, heroes and civilizations those were there in the AOE 2 PC games. 3. Nice to have naval armies and features which were too good in pc games are one of the missing elements. (Can be a new army feature) with sea maps. 4. Can have moving bombarding canons as army troops under siege.
