I grew up with Age of Empires on my old DS. Let me tell you, this is not the Age of Empires that we all know and love. This is another clash of clans rip off. Total Garbage. Would rate 0 stars if it was an option.

Total Waste of Time

Military Intelligence; Country Music; Microsoft Works. Proven here. I had hoped this would be like the old Age of Empires. It's not. Previous reviewers have hit the two main flaws. (1) huge wait times to build anything. (2) server unreliability. It's so bad that this game is like an advertisement for Amazon hosting. In fact the game has been unplayable a for weeks now. To illustrate. After upgrading to a new age, I can up grade my 4 farms. It costs 900,000 wood to upgrade on farm. My 4 saw mills each produce 1000 wood an hour. Thus it take 9 days of waiting to start an upgrade and 3 more days of waiting to upgrade. This is a complete waste of time. Maybe they will get the old AOE running on IOS.

Good game overall, like the history and unit upgrades but units should change looks every level not every 3 levels. Only reason not 5 stars is gold purchases do not work. The sword icon just spins! Overall great game please fix bug in gold purchasing and lower speed up costs!

Not like PC game

I really like this game but the last 3 days I can't get on it. It won't even connect to the network or my game at all?? I have iOS 9.1.3 or something like that. Help. ASAP please.

What an absolute horrible game! Complete waste of time. The whole game is designed with only one goal in mind... Have the user make in app purchases in order to have the game even remotely playable.

Impossible to actually sit and play without spending money

If you want to actually sit and play a game for 20 minutes to an hour, do not get this game. You cannot play without paying money unless you want to play for a few minutes and then wait several hours, come back and play for a few minutes, and repeat. Everything, and I mean everything costs money. Want to build something? You need resources. Then when you have too many buildings being built you have to pay to finish them before you can build more, or wait as much as 3 days to wait for them to finish. Then many of the things you want to build cost so many resources that when you're trying to save up for them you just get looted by other players and can never get there. If you want to build an army, you'll either have to wait for it to build it (mine currently takes 1 hour per battle) or pay cash for it to happen instantly. So you either wait for a long time between battles or you pay them. I've played dozens and dozens of apps and have never ever seen one that required so many in-app purchases to just be able to have seamless play. When I want to play, I want to play. I don't want to have to come back every couple hours to play for a few minutes.

I use to play Age of Empires for hours on the old PC version. This game needs scraped and they need to make the old version compatible with iOS. Really disappointed!
