Cancelled appointment

I used zocdoc to schedule an appointment with my doctor. A week before the appointment, I cancelled the appointment using the zocdoc app. The evening before the appointment, I received an appointment reminder from my doctor’s office. When I called to explain that I had cancelled, they told me they had not received notification of the cancellation and I was charged a late cancellation fee. Zocdoc support told me they were sorry this had happened but could offer no assistance in speaking with the doctor’s office or getting my fee reversed.

Cannot delete personal info

This app booked an appointment for me. Upon arrival the drs office said it had not been booked. Massive waste of time. Now I find the FAQ to delete accounts is bogus. There’s no way to delete accounts which seems very UN- HIPPA . Very scary and a waste of time. Update: there is no way to delete your account and you cannot “deactivate” it from settings. You have to contact support and talk to someone.
Unreliable - Hit or miss appointments

Happened to me twice. I book an appointment, the appointment still shows under my reminders but when I visit the hospital, the front desk said they do not have the appointment. Coincidentally one of my failed visits there was another lady fighting for her appointment as well.

There has not been one occasion where this app has fulfilled its promise. It keeps referring me doctors that don’t take my insurance, or the doctors supposedly take my insurance don’t accept it IRL. Never was able to make an appointment where it didn’t have to be changed or remade. I don’t understand how this app has been so favorited. Everything about it seems fake.

Be very careful and look ok google and yelp for doctor reviews. They are all fake and paid for on here. I picked a dr today from the list with 4.5 stars and the office and team was terrible. Sure enough they have 1.5 stars on yelp. Zocdoc is in bed with all these guys. Be careful when selecting someone

With Zocdoc it’s so easy to see what your insurance provider can get you. I was so overdue on all my appointments because I didn’t know what doctors to go through. It’s awesome!
