I made an appointment via zocdoc and received a confirmation that my appointment had been approved. Upon arriving at the doctors office, they had zero record of me in their system. Zocdoc has communicated absolutely no information to them, and confirmed an appointment that didn’t exist
They are not serious!!!

Doesn’t show every insurance

It doesn’t show every insurance. I had a hard time finding Humana. I had to pick what was closest to it.

Zocdoc has pulled the ultimate bait and switch, thereby compromising medical care for both physicians and patients. When zocdoc originally began signing up doctors, it was free of charge. Then they began charging a monthly fee for docs. Now that they have established themselves with both physicians and patients they are now charging a per patient fee, which sometimes exceeds what the insurance pays. What that means is that if we see a zocdoc Patient with a low paying insurance ex. United Health Care Community Plan a doctor will either net zero or even worse. This means that we need to disallow patients with certain insurances from booking through zocdoc. So a patient with a low paying insurance may not book through zocdoc but if you call my office you will find out that we actually do accept your insurance. Zocdoc charges for no shows and cancellations so if you book through zocdoc and then no show or cancel when you come back to my office we will charge you the fee. What choice do we have? Zocdoc is bleeding physicians and thereby not allowing us to provide care to all of our patients. They are abusing the medical system and you as patients will suffer the consequences. WE URGE ALL PATIENTS AND DOCTORS TO STOP USING ZOCDOC. Most doctors offices have websites where you can book online. Please either call your doctors office or book online. Docs- lets band together and all move to Other booking platforms. There are many.

I just want to thank the creators and developers of this amazing app. I’ve struggled for so many years trying to make appointments to the point where I just stopped making appointments and hoped for the best. I love that you can see the pictures of the providers because that’s so important to me and more than half the battle when trying to coordinate your own care. I also like that I can make the appointment without having to call and hope the receptionist isn’t on break. It’s been an amazing experience Thank you !
Easy but not reliable

I’ve used Zocdoc multiple times and although it is very easy to use and makes life easier with it’s simplicity, but is very unreliable when it comes to appointments. I’ve made multiple appointments through this app, and roughly half of the time the doctor calls me saying my scheduled appointment will no longer work, which makes it annoying when you’ve been waiting for days to see someone.
