Lies about insurance networks

maxmamis

Every time I try to book an appointment with an “in-network” doctor, they have to cancel beforehand because they’re not actually in my network

ZocDoc is probably the only aspect of the healthcare industry that has a good user experience

I heard about this app on NPR. When I learned of it, I was surprised that it hadn’t struck me just how irritating the experience is to schedule a doctors appointment, especially if you are new to an area and are looking for a new primary care physician. The app is easy to use, and allowed me to book appointments far sooner than if I had to call a bunch of doctors offices and ask for their availability. Absolutely no complaints with this app, and the feature that lets you input your insurance provider to only show in-network doctors is absolutely fantastic.

Easy and useful

One of the things I really like about the app is that you can actually find more availability than if you were to call your doctor’s office direct. I was in pain and wanted to see a doc ASAP, when I called them to set it up, I was told that the next availability was a week away. In the app, however, it showed that the doc was available next day, so I booked it and the appointment actually happened with no issues. Since then, I’ve been using the app exclusively.

Easy, quick and convenient

Just switched from Kaiser to PPO and I didn’t know which doctor take my insurance or which ones are highly rated, this app makes it easy to find the top rated doctors that accept your insurance and allows you to schedule and fill out all paperwork without needing to call or step foot into an office. It’s a must have app

Good concept

Chelle the Cat

It doesn’t work for me. I was trying to search for a dermatologist that takes my insurance and the results were out of state every time. I have a hard enough time finding someone to drive me to appointments, there is no way I could convince someone to drive me a state over for one. I’m sure this app is good for some but it’s useless for me.

Great

shocked into oblvion

My only complaint is that the “distance” option for sorting results doesn’t seem to work/ doesn’t give an option for “closest to farthest” or vice versa. So I ended up almost booking an appointment for a doctor over 100 miles away from me.

They Think about the $ and not the costumers!

Vaho Unaev

I will start with they only give you doctors that paying them money! There reviews system is definitely fake or misleading. why when I booking an appointment with Dr. X and when I go to the office I find out its a different doctor that works under Dr. X's clinic. another issue is they don't have all the insurance companies. another issue is I fill up all the forms and then when I get to the office they say sorry but Zocdoc didn't send it to us or we didn't receive anything. there are more issues in their system if I'm the patient doesn't show up I need to pay for it but if I'm coming to a doctor for an appointment and need to wait 1-2 hours no one pays me for the time they wasted for me. in general, another app or service that only care about $$$$ and not the customer!!!

SCHEDULING MADE EASY

I have always stated that those things that were created to make my life easier I will use. Then I found this App. I have made appointments through it in a blink of an eye. Makes my life soooo easy.

REALLY Disappointed

ADB1982

I was really looking forward to using this app after saw the ad on tv. I searched for neurologist just to see how accurate it was— to find my doctor. Nothing. It’s giving me nurses and they’re all out-of-network. I live in a big city, and I have doctors, I’m just looking for a dermatologist (nothing particularly weird)!! I’m so disappointed, because I moved to a new town and could use the help. It’s a great idea, poor execution!
