I’m cold

i am stranded at the beach because zipcar won’t open and the app keeps giving us an error message it’s cold and it’s dark out and i want to go home and they always make us wait on hold for a really long time and now they’re making us wait for forty five freaking minutes to get someone to come unlock our car and we are prob gonna die of hypothermia THANKS A LOT ZIPCAR #cancelled #imcold


WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

TLDR: NEVER use this company’s services. HORRIBLE customer services. Today I attempted to rent a car to do some errands. When parked in an underground parking garage, I experienced connectivity issues to the vehicle. Although I could text, call and use all other applications on my phone, ZipCar claimed I did not have the service to unlock my car. Let me just say this was the worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my entire life. I spent approximately 4 hours total on and off hold with representatives who would not answer my questions nor had the decency to help or offer any services. I got hung up on, transferred and just left on hold for hours. Finally, the company claimed they would send an emergency tow truck within an hour to tow the car out of the parking garage so we could have adequate connectivity. I found this incredible unnecessary, how does a company with zip car’s reach and resources not have an office or employees whose job is to help maintain their vehicles in the area. Are there no extra Zipcards to aid when this type of problem occurs?? (And I have heard this happens often.) After waiting 3 hours, I finally left the site as the tow truck had not come and I couldn’t get ahold of Zipcar at all. I had around $400 worth of groceries in the car which were now ruined. After all of this, they only offered to give me a $30 driving credit to my account, although the experience had cost me over $80 to keep extending the trip. This is absolutely insane. How can a company even think after putting their customers through so much pain and giving such unsatisfactory service that this is an acceptable reparation. When I went to try and retrieve my belongings from the car hours later, the car would not start and I again could not get ahold of Zipcar (although they said they would call back immediately, they never did) and I had to walk several blocks and take an Uber in order to get my belongings in a dangerous neighborhood at night as a single woman. I am in absolute disbelief at the unprofessionalism and all around disregard the employees had for our well being. I will never give another cent to this company and believe this issue needs to be addressed further. I will be following up with management to get justice.


Fine when it works, a disaster when it doesn’t

TL:DR: missing cars, terrible customer service. Cars are frequently very difficult to find, if they are there at all. Yesterday I rented a car in a garage near me. When I arrived at the garage there was *no* signage anywhere in the garage to indicate where the zipcars are, and ended up having to go floor-to-floor searching for the car: which ultimately was not there at all. I checked to address and I had the right garage and verified that I had the right place. I went back to the app to report the car missing and discovered that if the car is not there: you cannot report it missing via the app: so you have to call customer service and be put on hold, all the while becoming later and later. The situation took over an hour to resolve. I called back later to verify that I would receive a refund for the missing car I booked and zipcar would not accept my call. Terrible quality of service. Terrible user experience. Insultingly bad customer service.

Well I would like to get more miles per day on the car , which their was no gas card or parking card either but over all it’s great . Which I would like it to be clear which I say I have it a 5 star is because over all I had the best experience more then other rental cars .


Service is appalling

Zipcar’s service standards have fallen drastically since the service was first introduced. What was once a great rental option has turned into an overpriced and behind-the-times embarrassment that cares little about its members. So disappointed in the way this company conducts itself. Customer service is appalling. If they actually care at all, they do not respond as though they do.


App is about as reliable as the service

This app, like the service itself, has progressively gotten worse with both the app and the service unusable by most standards. From the cost going up nearly 35% in the past year to the cars you reserved and paid for not being there at the time of pickup this is no longer a viable alternative to owning a car in the city. Goodbye Zipcar hello car dealership.


Wow!!

As a college student, not many car lending companies will let me rent a car because of my age. Zipcar’s model of cheap hourly rental of well maintained cars, free gas, free tolls, and parking makes it the most reliable rental company I’ve ever seen!! Cars are widely available as well. I live on a college campus and we have a dozen cars we can rent around campus. Amazing!!!


Careful when close account

Their customer service don’t even ask your zip car number when close an account and say you will see confirmation email. Next time when you call, another rep can tell you it’s closed but needs a few days to get confirmation email. Actually it is not closed at all. It’s a scam.


Service is worst

I have been charged the insurance fee and sales tax even I did not booking a car successfully. So I wrote 2 emails request, not got any reply after 2 weeks. I trying to give a call, it takes about 1 hour to wait in the line, when I finally start talking to some one, I was lifting pants after pee, I just heard “ first and last name plz”, then I pick up the phone, they already hang up the phone. Like 10 sec. I am on the second line waiting to talk to one rep. 30 minutes already gone, hope I can solve this today. Love you zipcar!

You reserve a car and it won’t unlock. Customer service taking forever. Totally unreliable. Left my pregnant wife Ubering. Disaster
