Lacks Key App Features

FLmuscle8

This app is great to change the channel however the inefficient coding could be greatly improved if they took the customers position in this basic IT it’s good enough for now management attitude. Two key features that should be pushed on the next implementation enabling the end-user the ability to: 1) Control the volume via the remote a) without a volume control feature one channel could be playing within a normal sound range. whereas the next channels volume is significantly louder causing you have immediately stop what you’re doing and search the remote to lower the volume that’s blaring in your home. 2) The ability to power down the Xfinity box a) if you have the ability to change channels and coding should be simple to implement them diligently to turn off the Xfinity box. Without the ability you have to again go search for remote to turn that function off. Without these 2 key feature elements enabled for the end-user. This app is below the industry standard for remote viewing apps offered throughout the market. These features would involve simple coding and are something that should be expedited by IT Management, if not already planned for the next deployment release. Comcast product team roadmap of enhancement should raise the priority level for this feature to be pushed out to all end-users on the next deployment release . Without these a features I see no value whatsoever for anyone to download and use this app. It is basically a laymen’s attempt for a grade 101 entry level channel switcher and nothing else. ** Comcast with the amount of funds you earn from all of your customers this is something that involve simple to coding to rectify; however this has not been a priority to management to enhance the customers experience. shame on you!! * Comcast shouldn’t say they’re about in improving the customer experience when they don’t make the effort to actually improve it. ———————————————— If there’s any modifications and/or changes to the app features; I’ll be more than happy to update my review. ————————————————

Loving this app

Re-LAX-en

When my wife loses the remote especially at night I use my phone and it works better than a standard remote control!!!! Get it / Love it!!!!!!

Unhappy

Smrivas

I was told over and over again on xfinity that the mobile app is amazing , but so far I have talked to 2 different people who have assured me that it’s just a service connection problem and it should work soon. I’ve had xfinity for almost a month now and the remote has never once worked.

API inaccessible

dizm4

App is useful when it works. More than half of the time it can’t fetch any listings.

Coo

Works. Put more functionality.

Terrible app

Lawjamesq

Terrible app. Crashes, doesn’t load. All the Xfinity apps are horrible.

Fixes

I HAVE A TV

I feel like you should be able to control the volume and also be able to turn the TV off and the on

Awful!!

CoJa58

This is a piece of crap! It gives no instructions on how to do things like sync a device. If I could give it no stars I would. I’m just even more determined to call and cancel this week!

When it worked, it was ok

DJ MAD1

Used it for a long time until recently. All of my devices disappeared. After numerous attempts with Comcast support (many of which didn’t even know they had an app for the phone) I was finally told they don’t support it anymore and that is why my devices no longer appear. I really don’t believe them because most had no clue about the app. Either way, my devices are still no longer displayed so I can’t use it

Where did the On Demand by day go?

LadyBlue76

Not happy that I can’t search by day of the week for the shows I want to watch even though it shows you still can on the pictures provided for the application. I would really like to see that feature come back as I used it all of the time. Bring It Back Please!
