It Just Works

I wanted a no fuss app for offline exercise tracking and gps navigation while cycling and hiking. It does everything and more. 10/10

Great app to use with all my activities!

You have the option of using basic layouts and information or customizing each part of the screen to show only the info that’s important. The map overview is a great feature, too! Support is first-rate. I had to contact them for a question and I got a response, and answer, within a day. If you walk, run, hike, ski, snowboard, etc, this is the app for you!

Awesome app

I wanted to replace my aging Garmin Fenix 3 HR and was about to buy the Garmin Fenix 6 but I don’t want to be in too many ecosystems. This app has pretty much replaced my Fenix. It pretty much everything that the Fenix does, especially maps and data!

Great app, even better customer service

I downloaded WorkOutDoors for the same reason most people probably do-it’s the most customizable, user-friendly workout app out there. I’ve been able to use my watch without needing to have a phone handy, and with the customizable watch faces, I basically have everything I feel I need during my runs. I’ll say this however, earlier today (yes, today) the watch app crashed twice during a one-hour run which was really frustrating-I have been going through multiple different fitness apps during the last few weeks, and hate losing data. In any case once I got home, I wrote to the developer and he helped me fix the problem and address the issue directly. It’s by far the best customer service I’ve ever encountered, and he was able to suggest a few different fixes (sometimes iOS crashes the app when there are too many other apps open, or if I’ve run too much in the same area, something having to do with memory stored on the app). I highly highly recommend downloading WorkOutDoors to anyone working with a heart rate monitor looking to stay in their zones during their runs/bikes etc. and anyone who’s interested in more than the normal data available with most apps.

Great app for running

Long time runner and Garmin user. I switched to an Apple Watch 5 +Cell for the cell coverage and after looking for a replacement app for my Garmin went with this app. It has everything my Garmin had that I needed. I had a slight issue and emailed the dev and within a few hours they had the answer and it worked great. Could not happier with the app and the support, worth every penny.

Outstanding!!

I use this app everyday and I’m very impressed with it! I’m honestly surprised that it’s not more expensive. No other fitness tracking app that allows map downloads comes close to this app especially for the price!

Nicely done

So far this seems wonderful. Good job

A versatile app with a responsive developer.

Switching over to this app after years of using well-known apps that have lost their way after selling out to major brands. Developer is remarkably engaged with his customers. App can be intimidating at first, but with some time spent fiddling with it you realize that it’s a marvel of customization. Definitely download this and give it a try.

WorkOutDoors & Apple Watch are Perfect Pair

I’ve used this app for a few years. It is the best app purchase I ever made. The app makes your watch so much more powerful. And it does so while giving you the ability to get deeper insights into your workouts. From the Series 2 to a Series 5, it is just a perfect app. The phone side has given me data to help improve my running greatly. You can customize every screen and then dive deep to make it yours. And the app is stable. Only crashed a couple times on my Series 2 (basically every app eventually crashes on it) and no issues at all on the Series 5. Exporting is easy to share to Strava. And it even gives the Health app all the data as well! (Not all apps do this, even when they claim to) Finally, if you have a question, request, or issue, you can email the developer. He’ll answer in less than a day. If you do any sort of physical activity, you need this app.

Favorite Watch App

This is my top Apple Watch app. If you hike or walk or run or bike outside, this is the best way to navigate without pulling out the phone. Add fitness tracking and: mind blown. No annoying ads or in-app purchases, and it’s free (although I’d happily pay a one time fee to support this awesome developer).
