Just gets worse with updates

lovely_lunaaaa

I’ve had this app for a while. I WANT to love it. But I don’t. Because after having this app for a few literal years, it’s gotten worse. Measurements are “low accuracy” about 75% of the time - and I haven’t changed anything. I’ve made sure my finger is covering. I sit still. I prefer the 300 measurements so I end up wasting 10 minutes since I have to redo it 2-3 times every single time. I’m sad I spent money on this app only to have it become functionally useless for me. Ugh. Updating this a few days later. The app does sync with my Apple Watch, which is nice. But I still wish it weren’t completely useless with almost everything else. Did you not smoke test or debug your own major UI changes? It really doesn’t seem like it. I cannot load my data - TTFB is more than several minutes or timed out - I exited the app because I don’t have time for it. Some of the new stuff is ok. But I miss the old, simple to use UI that was cute and friendly. This just looks like you guys literally could not come up with a better design than “bash shell”. It’s bad. Your reviews say it’s bad. This is how you lose all your customers. Push a fix (soon) that: reduces latency (a backend db call should not take several minutes, it should take less than a second. A few seconds might be ok with a spinner bar) and the other numerous issues listed in this review. I’m pretty amazed that you rolled out such a buggy major update and it really reflects poorly on you and your app.

I LOVE this company

InsuranceRescue

Part 2. I needed to say more. These folks have THE MOST AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE of any company I’ve ever dealt with. Bar none. Every question has been answered quickly by the team. If we can’t figure out the challenge, they work at it some more and get back to me promptly again. They have solved every issue I brought to them. I love this company and the amazing group of individuals managing it. WELL DONE!!! Part 1. I’m an active ‘not a spring chicken’ who wanted to track more of my activities and my health. This app is perfect, albeit a tad expensive. It does everything advertised. I had a problem getting a good reading during the first week, so I contacted customer service. Their response was very fast and with one setting adjustment the app now works perfectly. Two thumbs up.

Latest update ruined app

Vinny9999

The latest update is slow, makes data harder to navigate, splash screen takes forever and can’t be skipped, and gives nonsensical recommendations. Wish I could downgrade to the app I used to really enjoy. Just lost 2.5 stars.

Photoplethysmography doesn’t work

KiwiCauldron

If you’re looking for an app to measure your pulse/heart rate through the camera on your smart phone, don’t waste your time or money on Welltory. The readings I get never map on to what I can verify with other heart rate monitors, and often give me estimates that are double or even triple what my current heart rate is. This app is all shine and no substance. Do not buy the pro feature if you’re depending on the plethysmography for measuring!

Update looks great. Results seem broken.

H.Wolf

I’ve been using Welltory for over a year and the new major update has resulted in data chaos. Example? This morning I took a reading that came back as 100% accurate. Stress level 30%, which is a lower number than I ever got before the update. I waited 4 minutes and took another reading. Again, 100% accurate but now 77% stress level. A higher stress level reading than I’d ever experienced at this tune of the morning. This is just one example of results that have made me lose faith in the accuracy of the new version. I’m hoping for a fix. I think it had been a great app.

Most amazing app! Negative reviews obsolete.

Bbroccoli

I felt compelled to write this because I was reading some of the negative reviews stating they consistently received low accuracy readings, they didn’t receive their readings for extended periods of time, the app was freezing, the app was not syncing correctly among many other claims of unsatisfactory performance. I have had this app now for almost 3 weeks. The first week I had it some of the issues that are stated in the other reviews were true. But then this last update came through about a week or so ago and I use it five or six times a day and have not once had a single issue with any aspect of the app now. I have not seen any evidence of issues people were claiming maybe they have an android phone and are using the android version because I have an iPhone seven to be exact and like I said I haven’t had any problems whatsoever. The only time I did a low accuracy reading I was talking and moving too much. I am able to get a 95 to 100% accurate reading every single time as long as I’m sitting still and not talking. Now I Am a personal trainerAnd I am always looking for new things to incorporate into my workouts, lifestyle, and diet that will benefit my and my clients health in the overall sense. I will try out new things and if they work for me I will pass them on to my clients. This app is the most amazing app I’ve ever seen or heard of. It communicates to all of my other Health apps and also suggests which apps to download so It can communicate to them. It is able to read somethingCalled HRV. It uses your phones camera and flash to take a reading. It uses this measurement plus your sleep patterns how much you move your screen time your diet how much you weigh basically everything that your phone can possibly read it uses, along with your HRV readings, to formulate an algorithm that predicts how much stress your body is under and how it is affecting you weather that be work, depression , anxiety, aches and pains, relationship stuff etc. after a couple weeks of taking readings every day which only take about 60 seconds to do the app is able to map your lifestyle and how to optimize it with I would say 98% accuracy. On a daily basis I still discover new things this app can do. It has a pay to use part where it gives you even more details and more readings than the free version. I have not personally subscribed to the paid variant yet because I am still learning from the free rendition. I will be paying for it here in the next month because I would like to see what else I can do but even with the free one it does everything I just stated and more. It enables an unlimited amount of readings among many many other things. This is a must have for all human beings!

Waaaay too expensive

BillCarson2

Nice app, but crazy expensive. No way I’m paying that for some pretty basic info no matter now nicely it’s presented.

The ads look great for this app but it is the most confusing thing when you open it up absolutely not worth it you’ll be more stressed out I’m trying to figure out this app

Unimpressed

njtuneguy

First off, I don’t need movie or graphic novel visuals and marketing, I need data presented in a clear, concise summary where I can see and click on items for more info. Second, I paid for the monthly subscription and nothing changed. Still your trying to sell me on the annual subscription when the monthly is not worth anything. Crappy, I’m deleting and don’t even care to hear from you.
