I do t review anything ever but this deserves it. I work construction and gone for long amounts of times almost 6 days a week. They will come over walk your pup, love on them give them treats and water and leave, WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING! She wrote the sweets things about my girl afterward too I love knowing she had fun even though I was at work! I highly recommend this service!

Great idea and app!

Amazing service!

Dog owner beware

Scheduled my first walk today. The first walker didn't show, the second didn't show, the third didn't show. No one is checking on the walkers. You have to continuously call. Zero follow-up. They left my dog stranded nine hours. Walkers are independent contractors and are not held accountable for showing up for your dog, as explained by "customer service".

Never showed up

Wag confirmed a walk for my two dogs, assigned a walker and everything. The walker never showed up, they said they were “trying to find someone else” but never did. I was out of town for the day so my dogs were not let out and Wag left me to try to find a back up at the last minute. I will never trust Wag again.

Always trustworthy

My father in law was in the hospital for a month and eventually ended up passing. During the whole time practically living at the hospital I never had to worry about my puppies. I could go and come home anytime and every time I needed a walker they came. It was priceless to know they were cared for and I could focus on other things. The walkers always came on time and the dogs love everyone who walks them. My sister in law even started using it and she loved the freedoms it gave her. Thank you for giving me the freedom during such a hard time in my life.

Dog walkers steal.

That bleached blonde

Had over 4k of items and cash stolen. Made company aware did not attempt to make it the right. Only told me those walkers would be blocked from walking for me. So beware !

From Frustrating to Terrifying

The app asked me to submit a review, which I thought would post here, but I think it just went directly to customer service, so rewriting here! I got three free walks for writing a recommendation for a friend, so I figured I’d use them to check out Wag. My walks were scheduled for 1:00am instead of 1:00pm, and there was no way to update the walks on the website, no way to get in touch with the walker, and nobody was answering the hotline. We finally just wrote “CANCEL” in as many fields on the profile that would actually update. The walker texted us close to 1:00am saying he was on his way over before noticing all of our desperate “cancel” messages on the profile. The last walk showed that the walker had taken my dog on a 3-mile walk to a busy tourist area. My dog is scared of cars and crowds, so I was freaking out! The walker wasn’t answering texts and I was considering leaving work to go look for them when the app said the walk was over and the walker answered my texts and explained that the GPS doesn’t work right for her. All walkers managed to enter the building at different points without using the front door call box, which the building management frowns upon and makes me nervous. TL;DR Crucial components of the app are buggy/not fleshed out enough, customer service is not responsive enough, and walkers may not be properly onboarded/trained.

Love Wag

Took my money

I will not be using this app ever again. Charged me for a walk I didn’t receive and then called me a liar. We will be using rover.

WALKERS AND CUSTOMERS SHOULD KNOW

I’ve been a walker for a few months now and I’d like to share my honest feedback about this app. This company screened me and I can honestly say that they are picky on who they let to be their walkers. I think this is a great thing. Pro: really helps if you’re in between work and you need cash fast! - matches walkers and owners up within your mile radius preference Cons: - doesn’t let your walker know anything about your dog until the assignment is already accepted. Meaning you might not actually be getting the best match because say your dog needs some special care, the walker isn’t aware of that and they may not be able to accommodate that BUT they’ve already been assigned. See the issue here? - wag takes a LARGE sum of the walkers profits. Which... if the weather isn’t ideal, making $12 to walk in the summer heat isn’t almost worth it. And the majority of the time, owners do not remember or care to tip their walkers/sitters So honestly, it is what it is... but if you’re someone who may rely on this for a steady check just be mindful of how much work it can actually be. Owners, if you have animals who need special accommodations (separation anxiety/can’t be left alone/etc) just know that wag does not make that aware to the walkers ahead of time. Please remember your walkers are doing their best and often have to schedule several walks a day while they look for other work. Please remember to tip :)
