Lots of bad reviews for this app. It’s been working well for me. I’ve been trying to figure out why it doesn’t work for a lot of people and I think I’ve figured it out: Your car communicates through the Verizon cell network. So if you are in an area with poor Verizon coverage, the app won’t work. So you can pretty much forget using CarNet if you’re in one of those Verizon-Free towns. That said, our coverage is pretty good so the car responds to commands in about 45 seconds. It reminds you that you’ve left your car unlocked or your windows down. It has some neat alert options which, for me at least, needed to be turned on via the web site before they were usable in the app. I’m in the free trial period so I’m not sure if I would keep it going after, but it looks like the company is regularly improving the app and that’s a big plus for me.

Every launch is a new experience, and never a good one. When I open the app it gives old info. Tap to update can take minutes to complete. Fuel sometimes gives miles to empty, sometimes percent of fuel remaining?? No logic to why, and I can’t find a setting to change it. This is an embarrassment to VW. I’m surprised they even put their name on this. Needless to say, I’m not paying for this after the trial is up.
Why no Touch ID?

I’m able to use all of the app functions but can’t use Touch ID to log in even though I have it turned on. Not sure why.

Love the app works precise but I am required to enter my whole email and password and then security code to use! My bank accounts don’t even require that level of protection every-time, please fix or I will be deleting app.

“There was an issue with that request, please try again later”. 100% of the time when trying to log in. Maybe the American version is incompatible with logging on from account created in Europe. Why not simply give that info if that is the case.
Useless as well

Not much thought went into development of this app Cannot lock doors , only unlock them . Vehicle locator does not refresh quick enough or not at all . Cannot call car net directly from app anylonger . Its enough to reconcider renewing subscription

Don’t waste your time

I haven’t even been able to log in. When I enter my account number and pin it says invalid credentials. I’ve called them and nobody has been successful at helping me. Plus I was on hold for over an hour. It’s just better to go the the website& login if you decide to purchase after the subscription.
