DO NOT BUY
Sunshine8925

I was tricked into believing that this would actually be helpful but when it came to an emergency I am extremely disappointed in this service! My 17month old daughter locked herself in the car with the keys! I was unable to get the maintenance key to work to open the door so I called the customer service line and I explained my app was not working properly and that this was an emergency bc my daughter was locked inside the car and this was her response,”Oh, I don’t know anything about the app.” I couldn’t believe my ears how on earth is it that she didn’t know anything about the app when the number I called was the carnet app customer service!!!!!!! WHAT A JOKE! Unable to help me because she knew nothing the customer service was unable to open the car and I ended up calling the fire department to get my daughter out of the car! Talk about a scary moment! I am shocked that this is even a service!

Lots of issues

The app constantly logs me out and most the time the features don’t work. Not sure what happened but the app is just gettin worse

Missing some key options

Ok app but for the price it should do more even on star can remote start your car and It’s less money a month. Also should have a multi car discount

Forgetful one trick pony

Why does it log me out every few days? I have facial recognition enabled and I have to dig through ALL my saved passwords until I get to VW... the password isn’t saved under carnet. Also, when I dismiss the doors unlocked notification on my phone. It doesn’t dismiss the notification on my watch. So although the doors are locked, the watch still says unlocked until I dismiss the watch notification. How is that convenient? So if you unload groceries, you get two notifications that your doors are unlocked and you must dismiss both. Also, I understand that you can use the app for multiple cars but again, I have facial recognition turned on for the car but have to re-enter the pin every few days. As others have stated, it’s slow, won’t close the windows or start the car. Why?

Waste of Money
Fat Daddy Cash

Very basic features that are not completely reliable. And customer service is nearly nonexistent. I would pay $50 per year for this service but not a penny more. Not a good value for what you charge.

Doesn’t work
Kloyd86

I can login on the website fine, but it gives me an error message on the app. I mean for $200 a YEAR that’s ridiculous. My husband has a Chevy and has automatic start included with his package and only pays $100 for the year. I’m under the 6 months free package now and will most definitely NOT be paying to keep this after that.

Not very helpful
tpang77

Very slow and I have to sign in almost every time and then it says there is a problem. All the while it still alerts me to when my doors are locked and unlocked. I won’t be renewing car-net once my free trial is over.

Don’t Waste your time

This might be a great feature but once again just like Volkswagen’s fake eco friendly diesel scandal this feature is in the same ball park. After trying to enroll in the service to have piece of mind for my family when my wife drives the vehicle they made multiple miss-spelling in my name and apparently for them to correct this feature I would need to submit documentation I’m not doing a legal name change, your doing a simple deleting of 1 letter that your employees made a mistake on. Volkswagen once again released or partner with someone that fails miserably to meet owner expectations like their Eco-Diesel no surprise... save your time and avoid this feature from them specially at 18+ dollars a month after tax.

Kind of pointless - can’t even keep login credentials
ThatJay

I can’t imagine ever paying for this service. The app is poorly designed. I shouldn’t have to type in my username and password so I find it even after authorizing it to use Face ID. Integrations are limited. I would expect over time most of these bugs will be fixed but for now it just seems unfinished.

Incredibly frustrating experience
michael_cincy

Constantly logs you out and doesn’t remember your credentials.
