Constant issues

This app has given us constant issues to include telling us our front door is open after we closed and locked it causing us to panic and run home or have friends go to our house to check. I’m addition it’s no stranger to telling us a command can’t be done (today it’s arming the system from my phone) because the background is grey and not green after k personally checked all doors. I know the technical response is “reboot” but that fixes one issue and creates another. This app needs serious technical reviews and patches soon.

It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review. This app for the past year has been unstable. The app takes too long to load, or gets stuck on the loading screen. I can force close the app, turn off my phone, get off or on wifi, and still have the same issue. Another problem I’ve encountered is the app and my panel display opposite status. The panel will say my house is disarmed (correct status) but my app will say the house is armed. If I try to disarm through the app, it just infinitely loops during the disarm. These issues are very inconvenient when you need to leave for work, or check your cameras for security purposes.

Often hangs up and very slow to open but, even worse, does not consistently show the accurate status of the alarm system. Twice now my watch and iPhone apps both glowed green and showed disarmed but opening the front door set the alarm off--which I then could not turn off from the app (watch or iPhone) because they have frozen. Even in my own home, standing next to the panel, the apps will not sync up correctly and freezing or not even opening apps are obviously useless. What's the point of a security system if you cannot depart your home and then activate the system to protect the sleeping family you're leaving behind?

I fight with this app. I have an iPhone 11 max plus whatever and this app refuses to cooperate outside. My husband has an iPhone 8 and can close the garage with his older phone 20 feet from the house. I reboot my phone. I delete and reinstall the app. It’s a pain. I’m not thrilled with VIVINT as a security, home thermostat control, and solar panel program either. Disappointment all around! Buyer beware!!!!!

Can’t see my cameras within the app. I can see my cameras within the wall panel. I’ve spoken to customer service twice. With no resolve.

We love the system but we could have chosen a similar system for less less money. The salesman did not mention a 5 year contract That is a hardship. We are retired and in’s fixed income When we moved we were charged for additional equipment at cost. However the garage door opener did not work in our garage at the new home. We got no credit for that We are in a 55+ gated community as we feel very safe, therefore we rarely set the alarm The thing we like most is the electronic lock However we had to buy the handle to match. Camera not recording right I keep calling and the have me on the phone so I can help fix the problem which never stays fixed what am I paying them for if I can google and fix my self just waiting for contract to end so that I can find another company
