The Vivint Sky app enables you to easily secure, control, and connect with your home all in one place and from anywhere in the world.

To get started, you need a Vivint SkyControl Hub. If you do not have one and are interested, please call 855-808-5098.

People use Vivint to:

• Arm their home when they go to bed for peace of mind and security
• See and talk to visitors at their front door
• Adjust the temperature while their away to save energy
• Get notifications if anything is out of the ordinary at home, such as a door being left open
• Check-in on the kids to make sure they got home from school
• Let visitors in even if their stuck in traffic and can’t be there to open the front door themselves
• Lock the front door from work if the kids forgot to do so as they ran off to catch the school bus
• Let the neighbor into their garage to borrow some tools

We are able to review our cameras, if anything looks out of place or different and believe me, we have found out some things we would have never known. From greeting visitors while we’re away to seeing what time the cat came by to eat her meal. It is great and we love it!

Poor communication in an emergency

Incredibly poor communication in an emergency. An incident happened at our home and the alarm was triggered. I was away from the home, and when vivint support contacted me I confirmed I wanted to police dispatched to check on my husband, nothing happened. I later received a record of the support ticket, and vivint was unable to get in contact with the police, but never called me back to confirm this. I would not trust this system with an actual emergency. You are better off with a self managed system.

I’m not happy with thisThermostat system not at all the and the panel keeps saying panel loose when I’m not even at home. On the coldest days and night the thermostat system stays on air conditioning. Which is veryUnacceptable. I’m not satisfied at all in fact I’m very very dissatisfied

Upgrade the app

This app needs a multi camera view, and also needs easier search function for clips and saving and sending, we need access to the smart hub so we can see where the clips are stored and store them there, this app also needs user interface upgrades. The upgrades would include when pushing an eventNotification it should take you straight to the event as opposed to the live view. The app also needs to have PC and Mac desktop access. The customer service team is really good the sales team will promise you the world and you end up with a mediocre app I would not recommend Vivint for ease of use however I do recommend Vivint for the whistle and deterFeature. Overall I would’ve returned my Vivint system and stuck with my regular camera system had I known how poorly the app functions and the limited scope of use for accessing our own data

We switched to a Vivant due to lower monthly fees and a better deal for additional services. We regularly have false alarms and have to troubleshoot equipment. The very day our contract is over, we will switch to another company.
