I can’t download the courses that I bought from website. Your app needs to be fixed.

Can’t purchase

Everyone I go to purchase I get the something happened error. This seems to happen most often during sales. I shouldn’t have to go through IT support to purchase a course.

No Roku

Ok, so, admittedly this review is a little premature, however... I just purchased a course and downloaded the app. I am discouraged to learn that I need either Apple TV or Chromecast to view the course on my TV. I hope there are plans in the works to support Roku. If not, this will be the first and last course I purchase from Udemy.

Good app overall, could be improved

Udemy on iPad: It would be helpful if keyboard control could work for the video playback (space for play/pause, arrows for skip ahead/back) Option to hide the course progress bar on the side with the tap of a button in landscape mode on iPad.

Split screen support !!!

The app is great but I need to write down my notes on notability while listening and watching lectures BUT I CAN’T. Could you please add/support split screen function into your app!? It is really really important! Cheers

Okay, but needs work to be usable

Good for downloading and watching videos but: 1) Doesn’t work in split view on an iPad (e.g., if you wanted to take notes) 2) Has issues with Bluetooth headphones 3) Downloading the lectures doesn’t download slides 4) Issues downloading slides from mobile app in general. Had to switch to safari to download. That’s it so far after using for 5 min.

Course not shown after purchased

Purchased this course yesterday morning. Waited until yesterday afternoon when I received the iOS receipt which meant Udemy received the money. So there should be no reason why I still couldn’t start this course. But it’s still display as in purchased! I chatted with the online customer service but he said it wasn’t his problem to fix and would forward my case to another group, then closed the dialogue window left me there being shocked. Also they don’t have a phone number to call, isn’t this the most basic service? Just don’t get it..Just now, almost 2 days after I paid for this course, received an email asking which course I paid for. Replied with a screenshot and hope it will be available next morning. Literally the worst service ever received in US. With the great content, Udemy can surely do better on its customer service.

Full screen video on iPhone XS please!!!

BlueMan-NewMan

The sides of my screen are cut off and it’s very tedious to view programming vids using this app while doing cardio at the gym. Fix your app and let me view my vids full screen and I will give you 5 stars again. You must keep the current ability to zoom and pan! Just also give me real full screen on my fancy new iPhone please!

Udemy is AWESOME but the mobile app is disappointing

I love Udemy and use it constantly for work training and improving on my personal hobbies. In the browser, the UI is pretty good, the site works amazingly (it very rarely has technical glitches that amount to anything more than minor inconvenience), and the breadth of quality content is incredible. However, I’ve had a lot of trouble with the mobile app in the very brief time I’ve been using it. The screen gets very fuzzy and often stays that way for a long time so text and images are blurry, which makes it hard to see what the instructor is talking about; this happens in the browser sometimes, but never lasts more than a few seconds (< 5) before coming into focus. The other issue is that the audio keeps cutting out or falling behind, which I’ve never experienced in the browser. One of the best things about Udemy is the ability to change the speed of the video content—It should not be offered in the mobile format if the app can’t adjust the playback properly. The only “fix” I’ve seen for this is to click the “rewind 15 seconds” button, which wouldn’t be so bad if it were only once in awhile, but I’ve found myself having to do it several times even throughout the same video. I hope they are able to fix/improve this app, but for now I may just go back to browser-only use.
