Fine for guys, horrible for women

I have had two boyfriends who have used this app to keep their wardrobes up to date and decided to try them for myself. First of all, they don’t read anything you write and it’s useless doing the quizzes and putting a lot of detail in them. I doubt their staff have enough time to really care. They hardly ever respond, even to negative feedback and requests. I requested a first trunk and it half the items were items I said I didn’t want. Then when I messaged them asking for them to switch those items, I was ignored and sent more items I didn’t want. I thought I’d give feedback and try a second trunk. Well they didn’t even read my request and wanted to send me styles and colors and items I specifically said (twice now and in several places) that I didn’t want. The styles were also very Midwest mom, and not edgy casual clothes I would wear as a young professional in California. I even put together a Pinterest. So bottom line. If Midwest mom is your style and you want an automated system to send you clothes without being able to ask for what you want, this might be your thing. If you have fashion sense and actually want someone who has fashion sense to hand pick items for you, then you are better off going anywhere else. Stitchfix only sends to 5 items at a time but at least their sense of fashion is better and they respond to you somewhat. It works for preppy guys because the clothes are so basic and they just send you the same clothes in different colors that vary slightly. And the men’s clothes are overpriced for the quality you get.

Worry free

Great style and service. My stylist can send outfits for special occasions or just closet refresher. Next trunk is restoring intimates ...can’t wait!

Not attentive to comments previously made regarding your style and preferences. They offer to help get to know you better and when you agree, then they act like you are requesting something outrageous. Much better service from other similar groups I also buy from. Would not recommend.

Lacking in a few areas

I have been using the Trunk Club for prob a year at least, maybe more. Its very disappointing that what you see online in Nordstrom’s store isn’t the same things that are available to be sent in a Trunk. I try & be specific, but the lack of stock they have can be boring. I thought since Nordstrom’s was a high end store that I could get a variety of nice clothes. I’ve even asked for specific items, only to be told they don’t have it to be sent in a Trunk, or only have a sleeveless version of a short sleeve top. I’ve been bounced around from stylist to stylist w. no communication. Its beyond frustrating. This us beyond a Covid issue, this has been going on for months & months! This past Trunk I went through & had to change some things & normally they will add a few pieces at the end, but not this time. Its a huge letdown!

I have decided to try purchasing a Nordstrom Trunk since I had a referral code. When I received a preview of my trunk, at first I wanted to remove and replace a few items. Without any input from me, they were replaced with items that I did not choose and it was shipped. I received the items a couple days later and it either did not fit me or it was too expensive. I am disappointed as I had seen so many people pleased with their trunk. In my personal experience, I would not recommend this granted I only used this service once.

Welll.... humph

It started off great I had the same stylist for over a year and she was awesome , she really got my style and then she was gone. Since then I don’t think I have had the same stylist more than twice. I have kinda just went with it mostly for convenience but the last trunk sent for me to review it had a top that I already bought from them a couple months earlier. It was obvious by the selection the stylist didn’t review my likes, dislikes or previous trunks . I get right now we are in difficult times but seems like now would be the time to go above & beyond for customers that have been loyal especially when what your providing is a luxury service not an essential.

App glitches constantly

Ummfa

Even before the pandemic, it seemed that Trunk Club was having trouble keeping stylists on staff... so mine was constantly changing. Right when I felt like they understood my style, a new person was messaging me saying that my old stylist had quit, and I felt like the new person didn’t take the time to review my notes/preferences and the feedback on my previous trunks. Now, the app is constantly glitching and showing error messages, and it makes it hard to navigate. I am usually able to find at least one accessory that I like from my trunks that covers the $25 styling fee, but I wouldn’t recommend this service to others.

Critical bug fixes required

olivegreenstem

The trunk club app needs critical bug fixes. App no longer notifies when trunks are ready for review. When clicking on items under your account preferences they never open or load contents. App has lots of bugs. It’s not even clear if the company is still maintaining the app, as it’s quite unusable.

Process of Communicating Style Preferences

So far, this website is learning my style through my hand-on learning of how what they send me fits.
