Many podcasts don’t load

MSD1282

This has been a great app for awhile, however I been having issues with podcasts failing to load and play. Looking elsewhere to stream podcasts and will not become a subscriber.

Too much space!

i care about storage space

I actually like this app, but suddenly it's taking up over a gig of space on my phone which is inexcusable. Deleted.

Just the worst

MonoElm

This is quite honestly the worst app I’ve ever used. I switched from Howl Premium to Stitcher premium because they wouldn’t shut up about it on Earwolf. The app is incredibly difficult to navigate. Finding my favorite podcasts has never been more difficult. I don’t have access to WiFi at work, so before I leave home, I like to download a few episodes to listen to throughout my day. For some unknown reason, the podcasts indicate that they have been downloaded, but after I listen to one, all the others delete. This is pure garbage and I believe I’m canceling Stitcher premium. It’s just not worth the hassle.

Internet

Used to love this app until they broke it.

The one thing this app should be able to do is playback podcasts. I’m tired of it losing my place, will be switching podcast apps.

Non-stop crashing

jp morgan xiii

This app has worked well until the past week (Jan 15, 2018). Now it crashes non-stop; I need to completely cancel the app and start it back up up again only to have it crash again. I cannot even look up a show using search function without it freezing completely and then it crashes. I am hoping this is just a bug that can be fixed, but there has been no new patch or update. I would like to continue to pay for the monthly service, but not if it keeps acting up like it has been all week. Please fix soon. Already tried deleting app and reinstalling, but that, too, has not worked.

Was good until update

Willie The Great

Was 5 stars until recently. Has been a user for years and the app was excellent until a few months ago. Now the autoplay is terrible where it doesnt always play, plays wrong part, or does not continue after first broadcast. I tried to reinstall app but it didnt work. Please fix

I love you and I’m in love with you.

Clunky interface and lots of bugs

I used Overcast for the last year, but I decided to give Stitcher a chance to see if I liked it better. After about two months usage, I can definitely say I don’t. Let me preface my criticisms with how I usually listen to podcasts. I’m either driving in the car or laying in bed with my kids, so usage of the phone is difficult, as my hands are either on the steering wheel or under each kid’s head. Clicking on the podcast cover from the favorites screen to look at other episodes is annoying, because if you miss it by a nanometer, you’re reading the episode info. Then, once you get into the episodes, it’s more and more clicks. It works, but it takes a while to get used to and more clicks means more time clicking instead of listening. Automatic downloads are not reliable. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don’t. If I don’t want an episode to download, often times, I have to cancel a download several times in a row to make it truly stop downloading. I also don’t like how it chooses your next podcast. If there’s some system to how it chooses what it plays next—I don’t know what it is and don’t want to spend the time to figure it out. What bugs me the most is the lack of headphone remote controls. Since I generally don’t want to use my hands to manipulate the phone, I used the headphone remote controls on Overcast heavily. Two short clicks is 30 seconds ahead (great for the in-podcast commercials I’ve heard a thousand times) and three short clicks is 15 seconds back, which I use a LOT to catch things I’ve missed due to a kid talking, etc. I’ve looked in FAQ’s, searches online and there’s no information on the remote controls being available. It does work for pausing and sometimes I get sent to some other episode of a podcast in my list, but the functionality is not what it should be. All in all, I’m going to be a ditcher of Stitcher.

Love the app and thanks for the updates!

BoBoIsClown

Already loved the app because it lets me play the first episode of a podcast and continuously play through from old to new. I LOVE the new “Downloads” page! Much needed. And I have had some issues with Apple CarPlay at times so I’m glad to see you guys are working on improving car integration! Keep up the work.
