Does not work 50% of the time

I really thought this was going to be a great app. However, even with episodes that are downloaded, it will stay on “pause” indefinitely. It doesn’t give me any indication that it might be buffering or anything—just literally I will push play on a downloaded episode and it brings up the episode, pause symbol in the middle, and DOES NOTHING. It just sets there, on pause. I can overlook these issues a few times but it is happening far too much for a service I pay for.

Plenty of apps that do not require me to create an account. I can visit the website of and pod i want to listen to for free. You can show me ads but why force me to log in? Like I want to manage another account for this app

I used to like this app but it’s become unusable after the last update. Can’t leave well enough alone. Or maybe you’ve got to go premium to make it work as well as other free apps.

I paid for Stitcher Premium mainly to access the Comedy Bang Bang full archive. At $34.99 for 13 months, this feels like a great deal. I love the ability to download episodes to my phone for offline play, which is a must-have feature for me. However the app feels difficult and unintuitive to use, and sometimes it freezes.

Heads up, be very careful if you are doing a month trial. They will automatically charge you for an annual subscription at the end of it. I canceled mid month but apparently it didn’t go through and they charged me for the whole year and will not refund.

Many features don’t work. For example, doesn’t save episodes, doesn’t track episodes you have listened to, doesn’t restart episodes where you left off, doesn’t play next as requested and it crashes on a semi-frequent basis. Overall, a terrible app. The only reason I have this app is to get access to content only available through Stitcher. If there was ANY other option, I would take it. I’ve never had so many problems with an app.
Ok, but form over function lately

Case in point, it’s impossible to fast forward/ rewind with my adult fingers. Also the time labels are impossible to read under most conditions.
Recent Changes = Very Poor Result

Recent changes to the app have made is unusable! It freezes every time you select a function. I get so tired of restarting app, Im ready to switch. Development team responsible appear to have been asleep.
