So glitchy and yet, so expensive

This app wins no awards. It’s always glitchy and ruins the tv watching experience. Nothing relaxing about the spinning spectrum blue circle of death every time you’re trying to watch something on demand, followed by the disappointing “PROGRAM UNAVAILABLE” message. This is the most expensive tv watching app we have compared to the other television options and it gives the most grief. I threaten to disconnect from this company constantly and am pretty close to pulling the plug on lousy service.

This app is the WORST, sorry bout it

I hate to say it, but this app is SO awful, unfortunately. Picture constantly freezes while audio continues, whether it’s in full screen OR PiP. The remedy is to either wait it out for 1 to 4 minutes, go back 30-60 seconds, or go forward 30 seconds, and those only work a percentage of the time. Quite often, while toggling through apps on my Apple device while show is paused on PiP, app will close randomly and I will have to start all over… and I mean ALL over, because my show will not have saved my place, I will have to find where I left off and fast forward to my spot. EXCEPT so often, on shows where I was able to fast forward only 20 min prior, I am now unable to do so. So let’s say I have 15min left of a show that allowed fast forwarding and the app randomly closes, and doesn’t save my place in the show, so I reopen the app…. I then have to start that episode completely from the beginning, because I can suddenly no longer fast forward for some odd reason. I can’t handle the freezing anymore, it’s driving me to drink, I swear. It’s frustrating because this is my go-to, this is where the majority of my shows and movies are… but it’s getting really bad. Yes, I’m up to date. I shouldn’t have to mess with an app 8 or so times per 1hr episode to get through the freezing, no one should be dealing with this much frustrating. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, SHO, Disney+, AppleTV, Discovery+, Prime Video, literally no issues with any others. Why so many with this one? Feeling pretty let down. Boo. Some of these even happen on our household tvs. Can we get it together? Franks frans. ?


Rwd and Fwd of live TV Support Needed

Please add support for rewinding and fast forwarding of live TV on iOS and TvOS Apple TV. Also please allow all local channels like CBS, ABC,NBC, Fox to be streamed over wireless cellular connection while on the go outside of home. I like the new Spectrum Apple TV update. Using the native tvOS player helps with the Cloud DVR. Cloud DVR plus is 100 recordings regardless of hours up to 12 months saved. They really need to increase this to 250 or 500 recordings to be competitive. Also I am only seeing LPCM 2.0 audio no DD 5.1 yet. They need to add Pause Live TV, rewind live tv, 4k channels for Sports/Olympics, 5.1 audio to be competitive with Directv Stream and YouTube TV. The recent enhancements to the Apple tv interface is in the right direction. Trending shows and recent channels are placed well.

I pay almost $260/month and unable to access TNT, TBS and other basic channels and also unable to access my DVR to watch prerecorded shows on the app if not at home. It’s ridiculous! I’m paying for services that I’m not receiving. On a yearly standpoint, that comes to $3,120.00 that spectrum receives for a mediocre service. And no that price doesn’t include all of the premium channels, only HBO and SHO. Customers deserve an excellent app experience and spectrum doesn’t provide that.
