Two speaker but no Stereo!!
Tatocharrua

Vamos Sony!!!, are you kidding!! I bought two xb30 in order to enjoy a true stereo audio system but you can only control the volume of the main speaker!! I understand some would like to have 2/3 speakers on different rooms with different volume but to be sincerely most will want a stereo experience, in any case do contemplate both possibilities and allow user to pump volume individually or on pair. Please developers do attend this concern since like it is today (8/2019) it is useless.

Does the job ??

I'm not usually the type to come type these out, but I see a lot of negative and overly critical reviews for this app. Yes, it "forgets" what you're doing if you put it in the background. However, this doesn't impede fluid operation of the speaker. Playback is never interrupted, and the app always comes back when you need it. It's not unusable in any way, people are just making mountains out of molehills.

No good
slashignore4

Takes forever for the app to recognize my speakers. When it first try’s to connect it skips and takes about 5 minutes to sync. Then if I minimize and bring app back up it loses the connection. Mind you I never closed the app. Not sure why Sony has a crappy app. Always thought Sony was top of the line...

Nice speaker!.....App is trash.
Joynerwhat

Why does it show multiple speakers, begin random delays from the Spotify connect?..ah..whatever. You get it...just glitchy nonsense all the time. Not user friendly..how did this pass quality tests? I mean...this is THE REAL Sony company, right?

Absolute junk
Hesakram

This is the worst app I have ever used. I bought a new SRS-XB41 and I can’t use its cool functions because this app says I’m not connected to the device even though I am.

Doesn’t work
XmLg Beyond

Won’t even open. The app is unstable, slow and glitchy.

August 31 update broke app
Ninobrown1022

Please fix, app does not work right since this last update. Can’t connect to sound bar

Terrible for STR-DN1080
cayman-7

Good luck connecting to your receiver. Extremely unreliable for such a powerful receiver. Its a shame and the reason why i may just go back to Pioneer or Yamaha. This app will not connect most of the time and you have to wait several minutes for it to detect your Sony receiver. Ive seen better apps built by 12-13 year old kids. Sony obviously put little to no effort on this app.

Can we get Tidal?
rock2001

App shows integration for many apps; HBo, Hulu, Amazon, Qobuz, but not tidal. Add MQA support via Tidal

Always an issue
Funnymelon

When the app works and the speakers connect you have a great sound quality. Unfortunately the connection isn’t always going to work and there aren’t a lot of options for troubleshooting connection issues that are available on the internet.
