We have this system installed on 5 hurricane screens in Southwest Florida. The system is working great. We relocated the transmitter a few times to find the perfect location. The rebar on our lanai was interfering with the signal to one of the screens, but relocating the transmitter solve the problem. We have set up five individual screens, scenes depending on the time of day and the sun's location, and a scene to close up everything at night. To make it a five star system, I would love to be able to DELETE SCENES we are no longer using AND PLEASE, please, please… INTEGRATE this app with the IFTTT App so that we can have an automatic message sent to the system to close the screens if the wind kicks up, say 15 mph or it starts raining in the area. Currently, I have Weather Underground send me a notification if either of these situations occur, and then we activate the appropriate scene to close the screens. Overall, a great step toward the automated home. I am sure it will only get better with future updates.

I purchased 15K worth of Awnings & Shades. The App to operate the units remotely is beyond worthless. Not only can you not tell if this units are responding to the command sent on the App, only 1 of 4 units will even download so you can use them remotely. Spoke with Somfy and their Management doesn't seem to care about customer concerns. BY All MEANS, Do NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

First this product works ok with their app. Their website gives the impression there is an api you can use for greater automation. This only means you can buy more hardware or third party hardware that can talk to their api. If they opened their api to be like the Nest api then this product’s value would be amazing. It is obvious that it’s been hamstrung to push a multitude of half measures and other products. I can control lights and thermostats easily but a shade has been over engineered to the point of uselessness.

Usually works pretty well but only has very very basic functions. Any reason, Somfy, you can’t extend the sunrise/sunset offset more than 2 hours?? Can you please incorporate scenes where it goes up/down for a specific number of seconds? For example screen goes up for 10 seconds then stops and x time. The app could be so much more. And please make it work with Alexa.

Setup worked without issue. I am able to control both Somfy devices and Somfy scenes via “Alexa, ask MyLink to open...”. But, the integration is not as a native device or scene, so it cannot be included as an Alexa routine. Thus You must issue individual commands to Somfy for your shades, and not, for example, “Alexa, good morning”, where Alexa opens the shades, turns the thermostat up, and turns on the lights, all with one command. And lastly my pet peeve still exists; the 2 hour limit on scheduling an event before or after sun rise or set. The Somfy team apparently do not understand a window facing the west! The new Alexa integration is nice, but I’m waiting for more.

v5.5 includes Alexa integration which is great and the app does what it says it will do. A few things keeping it from 5 stars in my book 1) as an iPhone X user I would like the next version to fit my screen 2) for remote use, it would be nice if the app indicated whether or not a shade was open or closed and 3) if I am being selfish I would love for Somfy to work with alarm.com.

Works as advertised! Simple and intuitive Love using it to bring my awning in remotely just in case weather gets bad. The addition of Alexa voice control was the missing piece !
