It is frustrating to program screen positions then any time the WiFi goes out you need to reprogram. When I contact the IT Help people they give me an answer that doesn’t work or doesn’t apply to my system then they stop responding to my requests for help.

I really like how I can control my blinds through the provided remote or through my iPhone. I can also configure my app and put them on the schedule to open or close different zones at a certain time even when I’m away from home so the sun does not destroyed my couch in my living room in the afternoon hours as it tries to come through my giant living room windows. All these features work as I expected them when I purchased the system. The things that I don’t like are that I have to unplug the remote that plugs into the wall and talks to all of the blinds every once in a while. Also I don’t know why this app does not support Apple HomeKit so that I can use Siri to close, open or adjust my blinds using a verbal command. I hope the developers of this app built future support for Apple HomeKit.

Our system is super buggy and this app froze the shades half way up. Now they won’t shut at all.

It’s kind of ironic that I’m using a free, temperamental, slow as molasses application... to operate some expensive, rock solid Somfy motors.

Nice to have a controller on my phone. But it takes a long time to boot and then it takes more time after selecting a scene for the signal to work.

I have received error messages for a while when trying to use this app. MyLink app was set up and worked opening and closing two sun shades remotely but then I had an internet reset and the app gave error message that not internet was found. The app does not have clear instructions for resetting the internet for the zoo:

The thing I most wish this app would do is let me know when it’s up or down.

The implementation is terrible. Bad UX, routinely fails to connect with the controller, and always fails to save the schedule. I have replaced the unit but the problems are the same, it's just really really bad software. A shame for such a big company as Somfy who makes really good curtains. If I knew the myLink was so bad I'd have made the Lutron curtains. Alexa integration also doesn't work properly. It also depends on the buggy myLink firmware. Stay away!
